i messed up yesterday and left my cart sitting thinking something good would be on hand today, but its a pretty grim deal overall. I had 5 items in that Featured Artist thing that ended up at 86% off, plus had to have one item from the new releases. Today they were at 66% off, which obviously changees the price dramtically, so I cleared my cart.

I just went to DIM to see that coupon, so we will see if it works for me.
EDIT: that giving-thanks coupon in DIM does not work for me either.  Tried on 3 different products with no luck. Looks like a spend nothing day.

I've made that same mistake, and lost out on deals completely. Rarely do deals from one day apply or carry-over to the next. When I get prices to 80% off, I usually take them before losing them entirely.

For today's "giving" coupon, did you read the exclusions at the bottom? You have to expand the pop-up to see what limitations apply; not everything is eligible.

Didnt see the exclusions but now have read them and none of my carted WL items fall into that category. Still don;t work though. I might check it out later today when I wake up from my turkey coma.

The coupon worked for me, but only items that were in my wishlist AND items from the featured artist section. It worked on both DO and PA items from that section that were also on my wishlist. Edit: Was working for me earlier. Daz changed something cause now it doesn't work anymore after coming back from doing some work in prep for dinner...

Maybe there is more than one coupon, but just in case anyone is misreading, the coupon I see in DIM is GRANTING-THANKS not GIVING-THANKS.

Giving-thanks was working for me before showing good in cart. Granting-thanks is what is working for me now. They must have had more then one coupon code before.

It looks like they updated the code. It was GIVING-THANKS, and now it seems to have been changed to GRANTING-THANKS. Maybe this was the only way to fix the issues people had? Either way, I'd recommend for everyone to check if the new code is working for them.

"Usable once per customer." and "Valid for intended recipients only" so do check your DIM whether you have it.

that worked on the Meowl for me (I only bought that, may have worked on others)

If you add one of today's new items to the cart, there is an extra 20% off as well. I had forgotten about it and went back and found the reminder. GRANTING-THANKS worked for me but the cart was cranky at first. But I will live with what I achieved, thank you @Ainm. I was about to close down all windows and give up for the day.

I tried the coupon on the wishlist sections on the store page, and it worked, so maybe it's actually limited to those?

But just like Torquinox, I don't see anything that screams at me "get me now!"

...I tried it on several items including those in the "Classic" category (which are several yeas old and have been on my wishlist for a while) yet I still get the "Coupon not Valid" error.

Wondering of it doesn't apply to already discounted items (as everything on my wishlist has a discount percentage listed (save for products tagged as "New" or Daz+) presumably from the Featured Artists sale, However there is no mention that already discounted items are excluded.

This has occurred before where important details were omitted (whether by accident or sloppiness) which only wastes time and adds to the frustration.

...yep, "sloppiness".  They need to take a class in proof reading.  As I mentioned above, this has happened before..

GRANTING-THANKS stacks with Featured Artist + In Wishlist discounts.

So I had very recent item (couple of months) that was 76% - Added the DIM Coupon (and a couple of tokens) for 90%

I wonder if whomever typed in the advert had a brain fart and gave us the wrong code, using "giving" when they meant "granting"?

Great. I only saw the GRANTING-THANKS code when opened the DIM to install todays haul.

Stupid idea to only place it in the DIM.

While not much of what I bought was on my wishlist, the combination of 20% off and 8 tokens would have placed five (or four) more  items from my wishlist in the cart. Its not really worth it to add another new item and  8 tokens, though.

They don't take advantage of their website messaging system enough. The messages should be used a lot more often then they use them.

They started using them too much a year ago: "In case you missed that massive store promo right below this, we've released a new thing that doesn't have any sort of special discount on it".

Made them into a nuisance rather than an excitement, in my opinion. Wouldn't be surprised if engagement with them went down.

Oh ugh, I hate it when they do these limited time rotating sales. It'd be fine if the offerings worked reliably, but.... well...

It's sad that my standard operating procedure is to check the issues thread first to see if I should even bother trying.

  • Extra 60% off up to 3 Items.
    Minimum price after discount: $5.99.

What good does that do to the bottom line? If I use it on three items that are ten bucks each, say some Daz+ items that I've overlooked in the past, the overall lost profit would be about twenty bucks, and absolutely nothing would be lost to pay out to the orginal PA.

If I grab three products at full mark-up that total to say a hundred bucks, that's sixty in reduced profit, and likely less for the PA they have to pay out to.

Doesn't feel very "Black Friday," where the point is scraping what they can from tiny, cheap purchases because your customers probably have a huge laundry list of sites they're visiting today.

    They're not excluded.

Meanwhile, it still also works on only one item rather than the stated three.

I'm quite perplexed by today's EARLY-FRIDAY code. "Extra 60% off up to 3 Items" appears to actually mean "there may be as many as three items in the store that this discount will apply to, but we aren't going to tell you what they are." So far I've only found one product it applies to, but because of the $5.99 minimum price it's only getting a 36% discount.

Other news: the 80% off Legacy Artists are almost all only 50% off, ditto the 70% off Recent Artists. And the "60% off "Shopping" Artist Stores" offered on the main sale page has already decayed to "50% off "Shopping" Artist Stores" if you just keep scrolling down the page, above two links that don't go anywhere.

Does anybody proof read or test these things at all?

Anything I'd considered using it on had a lower price than that in the first place.

Shrug. Okie dokie, then. They can stay on my WL and wait for a better sale.

well https://www.daz3d.com/fg-wizard-room for $5.99 was pretty nice

maybe not for Fugazi though crying

Maybe i'm just too cheap because of my budgeting, but with a min price of $5.99 (per item is how I understand) i'm not even bothering to look at anything as the stuff I pick up is cheaper than that anyway

  • Joe.CotterJoe.Cotter Posts: 3,361

Extra 60% off up to 3 Items is only giving the 60% off on a single item for me. I've tried everything I can think of and it ends up no matter what I put in the cart, it's only giving it on the first item in the cart. If I remove that item it discounts the next one in the list.

  • Joe.CotterJoe.Cotter Posts: 3,361

Update, I got it to work with 3 items, had to select the link right under the "Early Friday" code, which ofc I should have known, buit for some reason I was thinking it would be good for items on the "Shopping Page." What threw me off even more was that for some items from that list it did work for, but only one item at a time... Still haven't figured out how that worked, but at least it's working for the items on the page it was listed with.

    ... this

Yeah, I also noticed the issue with discounts in the Recent and Legacy categories.

As to the 60% coupon, it will pretty much be worthless with regard to the Featured Artist sale as once the prices are corrected later this morning many items in those two categories will fall below the minimum 5.99$ threshold,.

Good prices on the new Dragon Lady bundles with the early BF code. Checked out with a nice little cart and very possibly done for the day, as the headline deals seem to be timed - meaning subsequent deals would have to be pretty dang good to make up for multiple small carts working against the nature of the token system.

Could be worthwhile if they're some type of "choose your own outlet item" (set prices, non-stacking, etc). Either way, happy with this initial offer (once it was fixed).
