'Salem' price increased suddenly by $5.00

'Salem props and poses' has also been raised by roughly $2.00

Both items are now at the usual introductory -30% instead of the pc+ sale -40%.

Maybe a store glitch, in cart it shows up at $25 something....

  • Um, are you signed in?  I think you have to be to see the 40% off.

Yep, looks like a store glitch and it is NOT just Salem City, All the new items have reverted to showing 30% distcount rather than 40%. But so far its not too seriuos as they still have the 40% off when in the cart.

    And, yes, I'm signed in

Yes, they are signed in, because I'm seeing it too. The new releases are 30% and not 40%.

  • Yep, they just changed to 30% for me also.  I'd say the store is having "a moment"

  • Hmmm... it doesn't appear to be only the new items.  There is no discount on the Daz Original section, which leads me to believe something is wrong with the PC+ account link rather than the new items page.

If you put those items in your cart, HorusRa, the correct price might pop up.  That's happened to me before. :-)

From you guys' posts I can see it's across the board or something. I didn't kow that as I was seeing this in my wishlist and didn't see anything else. I thought maybe they were having a Rendo moment, lol. I'd better grab it while the grabbing is good then.

Are the windows seperate objects/surfaces from the rest of the building's surfaces?

I haven't managed to download all of it yet, but the separate houses, at least the timber house I am looking at, is all one prop, nothing witll open.  There are some separate surfaces but nothing indidualized, ie - all the windows are the same surface.

Each house in the town scene is all one texture - the houses are each separate props. (that isn't the city - I haven't managed to download that yet)

BTW all the pricing is fixed back at 40% EXCEPT NOVARYS. And I believe she was 40% earlier as I had her in my cart- and I frankly I don't do 30% items because I already own so much stuff.

Do you mean each houses window surfaces are all the same surface as each other, linked together, if you will? Or do you mean each buildings windows are the same surface as the rest of the building? Obviously you can tell I'm wondering if the windows surfaces can have Real Lights applied. I'd wonder too if they are not seperate surfaces if the windows are transparent so u can light them from the inside. It would be a bummer if they can never be lit, otherwise we're talking vacant (no ones home, err, or asleep) looking buildings or only day time renders.

I don't think it can be lighted the way you want.  OTOH, we're talking colonial times when electric lights were, um, scarse for another 200 years or so.  The buildings are all shells, at least the ones I have had the time to look at.

Right, but Candles and oil lamps were the rave of the times. smiley

You should still be able to assign the polys in the windows to a separate surface using DS. I'm not sure how it's done because I'm a Poser user. But I KNOW that it can be done. Ditto with the doors. Then spawn separate door geometry, and you have a door that can open.
