Strand-Based Hair creation not available in DS 2025 (aka v6) ?

I just realised the window to create strand based hair doesn't appear in DS 2025 or version 6

    The SBH Editor is now a tool.

    SBH editing options are now under the Tool Options panel while the SBH Editor tool is selected.

    In my experience, there are too many bugs so not sure that it's worth using yet.
