Products not being updated

I'm using DIM to install new purchases but the last several purchases have not updated the products list

You mean in Daz Studio? Is the content visible in the Content Library under Daz Studio Formats? Do you close DS then immediately run DIM? If so leave a gap, or don't close DS (right-click on an affected cotainer and select Refresh to get the new content to appear without restarting DS).
I tried restarting DAZ and restarting the computer. My last several purchases going back a few weeks are not being updated
Did you accidentally click the circled icon in DIM and turn off CMS? If so, click it again and turn CMS back on.
It's turned on. I tried doing a refresh on Products but that didn't help
Do the Products have metadata? Check the list in DIM. If so, you may need to reimport metadata - Content Library option menu (the lined button at top-right of the pane, just under the PDF Manual button in your screenshot)>Content DB Maintenance, check reimport Metadata, then in the next dialogue check any of the missing products that are listed.
I tried that and it fixed the problem. Thank you. But what do I need to do to keep this from happening with new installs?
Make sure you do not close DS and immediately start DIM - either leave a gap, or don't close DS at all and just Refresh the relevant containers after installing the content. If you close DS, with nothing else using PostgreSQL, the database will be shutting down byt not shut down when DIM starts - so DIM will miss the chance to restart it and will be running without the ability to add entries to the databsae (which is what features like Smart Content use).
