Unclear as to what settings to use for dForce M8 Streetwear Casual Set

Hello,

I recently purchesed the dForce M8 Streetwear Casual Set for Genesis 9 and it was working fine until I had the leg portion of the pants contact a solid surface (around the knee area). My initial surface had 50 sections, and the knee area of the pants went right through it. Thinking the surface wasn't dense enough, I've been ramping up the number of divisions, even going so far as to try adding bilinear and catmark to the surface, as well as completely shade it. Normally I could just pull the part of the pants up and out with mesh grabber, but as they are going directly down, it seems like a complex job. How many divisions on a plane should I be using to prevent the pants from going through the solid surface? I am currently up to 200 divisions using catmark, which is far more than I've ever had to use.

Thanks,

Hexdrake

They are not going through at the start? And the characters knee isn't pushing them through (allowing for the minimum dynamic offset)?

You can try moving the figure or the floor on Timeline to make them collide with one another ~

Besides, some partial areas of the pants have no influence weight with dForce modifier, check if that's the problem in your case.

You can add the dForce modifier weight node back to the pants to retrieve the weight and tweak them as needed. (ss1)

Thank you Crosswind. that must be the issue. I have the sim setup correctly, with the plane moving up to intersect the pants, and having some room between the knee area and plane so the pants are not "forced" through.I had the same issue with one of Linday's hair, but was advised to increase the number of divisions on the plane and that solved the issue perfectly, so I had thought this would be the same. However, if there is no weight the object would penetrate the plane just like any other object would, say a purse or ball? Does that mean dForce items may only have partsthat are weighted? I have seen some that use buttons or fasteners to assist but didn't realize that pieces of clothing may be just "attached" between weighted areas, I'm guessing? Anyway, looking at the weight map is of course a great start and thanks for the help y'all!
