    Aww...... heart

I feel like I could reach through my screen and hug it!

    That's wonderful, Silas!

Hi everyone, apologies for my lack of updates - I've not been well and also had to prepare a new base texture for the panda to support LIE color masking. Here's the latest version:

Aww, that's cute! Hope you are feeling better.

    I WANT TO HUG IT!!!

...and more importantly, I'm sorry you were poorly and hope you're either better or well on your way out of it.

Thanks for the well wishes, it's a journey but I'm getting there. Here's a recolor example as a teddy - you'd be able to set your own colors of course:

    Glad you're feeling better.

And I'm loving the brown bear. How easy is it to recolor things like the eyes/nose in your rework?

I'm still experimenting but the likely approach will be using LIE presets like makeup. Initially I was hoping to define new surfaces for the hair, but the polygon flow of the meshes prevents that.

Ok so after a lot of experimentation, I've found a workable solution that makes it much easier to change colors rather than having to use LIE (Layered Image Editor).

It uses the 4-layer Uber PBR shader (that comes with default resources), so that up to 4 different colors can be specified by using masks on the plushie model itself (in the case of the panda that's 2 fur colors, nose and eyes).

For the SBH fur, I can create new surfaces that are similarly masked for the areas that need fur. It's more time consuming for me to create/set up, but will be better for you guys :)

Looks much better. Can you show it on the other plushies?

@Artini yes I will show some more examples once done - as mentioned this initial test phase was quite time consuming so only have the panda so far. But now that I have a process the others should be quicker.

Hi everyone, apologies for the lack of updates. I ran into technical problems and unfortunately it's going to scupper the project  :(

There's a couple of persistence issues that occur on subsequent load of a scene, whereby hair surface layers are sometimes deleted and critical map values aren't set.

Whilst it may be technically possible to resolve these issues, I've already sinked several hours into this and being a one person team and this being my full time job, I can't afford to spend any more time on it (at least for the time being).

I can't make any promises, but hopefully I can revisit this somewhen in the future.

    Aw, sad... sad

Thanks for taking the time you have already with it, though! Your examples looked great.

Bummer, but totally understandable. Appreciate the update and will look forward to whatever you have next in the pipeline in its place. :)
