Paypal down EVERYWHERE?

Wow. Paypal is down all over the world. Can't pay, people not receiving payments, ppl receiving emails they have been charged for something.

    yes, they sure are. I just called them. They are having computer problems.

    OK, it is when you login that you notice there is a problem. When you say "down" I was expecting the site to be down. That is why I said I saw it just fine.

    yeah, "down" as in, can't purchase anything with Paypal, can't receive payments via Paypal.

    I thought something was up when I tried making a purchase from another site and it didn't go to the normal paypal screen.  Hmmmm...hopefully nothing bad.

    Hey there Jaki - Yep, we're down at the moment unsure emoticon Our teams are working as fast as they can to get us back up. Thanks for your patience.

    Also tweeted the same on their Twitter. Only affects me cos I want to checkout here at DAZ...but some people are getting nervous cos something is going on with their Paypal balance....plus they can't use their Paypal cards in stores.

    yep, came back up a few hours ago, for me anyway. Picked up a couple of things in teh store after.

    Paypal has been asking me to add a credit card since today. I always had a linked bank account and it always worked, now it won't check out if I don't add a card. Anyone else having this problem?

    No, and I wouldn't do it. Contact their customer support- if it's not proper they'll want to know about it too!

    I bought gift cards using Paypal tonight, and it duplicated the order again (I didn't try the codes, sent it to support to figure out, but what happens is you get bogus codes.)  Did anyone else use Paypal for the gift cards tonight and get duplicates?
