HnC24 or HnC25 what does it mean?

Hi guys

I don't understand the terms dforce HnC24  or  HnC25. What is it?

Why does Genesis 9 not have categories like men or women, as Genesis 8 does?

thank you

HnC is another form for H&C, which is a IH Kang "product line", I assume 24/25 stands for 2024/2025.

HnC is just a code shortcut for this particular creator. Most of them have it (CJ for Colm Jackson, KA for KindredArts, SY for Sickleyield, and so on). This is so that when artists create similar products, they don't need to make up some weird and unintutional names for the product just because a similar product already exist. For example, if two artists create a "Modern Halter Dress," the product can both me named as such, making it clear what the product is, because they'll have the creator code added. This has nothing to do with dForce.

As for the categories, since Genesis 9 is unisex and each figure or piece of clothing or hair can be used on either sex, categories for sex make little sense.

I could add that sometimes there are creators out there who still use the old formatting from previous generations with Genesis 9 (such as G9F). That is not really a thing, but they may be trying to indicate that the clothing was made for a specific gender.  Still, as joanna noted, Genesis 9 clothing can be used for any character on that generation.  However, sometimes only certain characters are supported (which means they will have less distortion in clothing with their morphs than simply auto-follow will do).
