From a 3060 12Gbs to a 5060ti 16Gbs?

Is this a reasonable upgrade?

Anyone did it that could tell me how it went?

Thanks in advance!

You can run DS 6 alongside DS 4.

So you can create your scene in DS 4 and then save and open in DS 6 for render.

  • Now those are good news! so as long as I install DS 6 on a diferent folder it should not mess with my current DS 4 install?

No, the different installastions are installed independently. Many have it runnung that way.

In DIM click the gear icon and select Advanced Settings. In there click Download and find Daz Studio 2025 in the list and tick it, and Accept.

Then go to Ready to Download tab and search for 2025 in search bar.

Also try to look in this thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/728111/daz-studio-2025-alpha-version-6-25-2025-30407-updated-october-31-2025#latest

It's officially called Daz Studio 2025 - Daz Studio 6 is the technical name but not what will appear in the store or on the application file.

  • but getting back on topic... any tips if the upgrade is worthy?

Which in my view is an odd decision.

Daz Studio 2025 will at earliest be formally released in 2026, and in 2030 people will wonder why we are using such old version DS 2025.

https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/9137741/#Comment_9137741 my reading is that the year will get updated like the minor versions of DS 4 - 4.20.x.x, 4.21.x.x and so on - rather than marking a major version and so persisting until the next major (API-breaking) version release. So there may be multiple DS 20xx versions under DS 6.x.x.x.

  • Hum since DS6 is still in alpha i will cross that bridge when we get ot it and it fully launches
