Magic Brush appreciation thread

Many of MB's characters are somewhat boring, average and, as Torquinox put it, “saccharine”. The shape of the mouth and the facial expression (resp. 'Non-expression') on the promo images are the same or similar for many characters. There are exceptions, such as Thandey, but to me, most of their figures are not really remarkable. I don't see anything particularly interesting about their clothes and hair either. My personal taste.

Don't forget that this is an "appreciation thread", i.e. intended for fans of the PA with similar aesthetic tastes to share their love for these products and the artist. I was also at first flabbergasted by the statement " best character creator on Daz", but thinking it over, that is what an appreciation thread is all about, isn't it?

I hope the fans won't be too discouraged now to take over and offer some renders to the OP, and some love for the PA.

Maybe there should be a general character discussion thread, where important problematic aspects of character design could be discussed more broadly with examples not only focused on one PA, but on the issues themselves, referring to the whole shop and therefore with more possible impact also on character creators and ourselves, who render images, as such a discussion may make us more aware of possible technical or ethical problems we might be confronted with in our hobby or profession.

As I am not knowledgable enough, it shouldn't be me who starts such a thread, but I would also be interested in such a discussion.

I doubt any harm has come from the opinions expressed here and if it caused the vendor to supply an update that solves a problem for some customers here, so much the better.

Go to the new releases page. Uncheck "Hide Items I Own" (under Show Product Filters). Sort by Most Popular.

MB Xaria HD for Genesis 9 Bundle is dominating every other new release in the store, including the DO character bundles that often top the list. And while I'm sure that many people used the $5.99 deal from the end of the PA sale to acquire the bundle, they chose to use that deal for Xaria over hundreds of other eligible items in the store.

So... Safe to say that Magic Brush is popular, I think. ;)
