In Search of a G9 Tuxedo

So, I own most of the suits in the store already, but I really need a nice tuxedo for G9. I really like and tried fitting the PRZ White Tie Outift to my G9 character, and of course, all the rigid node objects (buttons, cuff links, the bow of the bow tie) disappeared. Tried the clothing converter. No dice. There are some really nice suits for G9 already, but I think my groom needs something a little nicer for the wedding. Seriously. We got Brianna and all her wedding stuff, but nothing for her groom to wear? Sigh..... I want a nice tux with tails for my guy to wear.

So, if anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Or if there are any lovely PAs out there who want to make some G9 male formalwear, my credit card is ready.

Thanks, everyone.

For items attached with rigid follower nodes, you just need to move the items back and create a new rigid follower node, and when done with all save as a wearable preset.

Yeah, I've had to do that before. But with that outfit (and others), there are no nodes to manipulate. So, I guess maybe the buttons aren't rigid nodes but something else. Just parented followers? They just disappear and can't be found anymore. They don't show up in the garment bone heirarchy or anything. They're just gone.

I scoured the store last night for anything I can use/kitbash/whatever and identified a couple things, but I think I'm going to have to just make my own buttons and parent them to the jacket/shirt/vest. I might be able to load and parent the bow tie. I haven't tried that yet.

I knew it was a long shot, but figured I'd ask. Thanks, felis, for the suggestion! laugh

    I just loaded it.

The buttons are attached with riigid follower nodes. But in the Tailcoat there are several button For autofitting it, I would first load it on G8M for reference, then autofit, and then place the buttons, with reference from G8M.

Awesome! Thank you! I'll give that a try.

    I appreciate the help!

The buttoms can hide, but if you can't find them, you can just make a duplicate of one from G8Ms clothing.

Be aware that some of the buttons are instances, and there must be a least one real. Then the rest can be instances of that. Or you can just make them, all duplicates - it will require a little more geometry, but that shouldn't matter much.

    Thank you, felis!

Yeah, I decided to steal the buttons from the G8M and parent them to the clothing on G9. It's working great! There are a LOT of buttons, but this will work for me.

I really appreciate your input! laugh
