Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon head morphs for the Daz Dragon 3

I really feel like the Daz Dragon 3 could use some head morphs from GOT and HOTD. DarioFish did make some amazing head morphs but they were almost all based on Dungeons and Dragons, and we don't have many amazing head morphs for this dragon around.

Let us pretend George R.R. Martin hasn't heard you; Goodle GRRM and 4 legged dragons. To quote: "One thing that I've gotten a little bit of controversy in lately is my insistence that dragons only have two legs," he said during a talk at the Oxford Writers House. "These four-legged dragons are a creation of medieval heralds who had never seen a dragon, because they don't exist. And they decide dragons have four legs and wyverns only have two legs, and people constantly correct me on that, and of course they're wrong."

So i think what you are looking for is

    https://www.daz3d.com/hh-wyvern

which is more Game of Thrones/House of Dragons appropriate....

That HH Wyvern is an amazing model.

  • What does George R. R. Martin's opinion on dragons have anything to do here? All I asked were dragon head morphs that looked like his dragons.

The "dragons" in Game of Thrones and House of Dragons are actually wyverns so you are more likely to find head morphs for screen accurate creatures if you search for the right beast. There are no head morphs for four legged dragons since they have nothing to do with each other.  I think you would have to make your own. Unfortunately, you will probably not find any close head morphs for a four legged dragon.

  • The difference between dragons and wyverns is not so black and white. In history there have been countless depictions of dragons with two wings and two legs and they were called dragons. It all depends on the author of the work in which the creatures appear and one can very well make a depiction of a dragon with just two legs. Its usually that dragons tend to breathe fire and be bigger and stronger than wyverns, which are venomous, in most media. Also there is a wyvern morph for the Daz Dragon 3, the Wyverdreki.

You are historically correct about how the two leg/four leg argument is largely a modern one. George R. R. Martin has very strong documented preferences that he required the makers of the HBO series to conform to so that all depictions of his dragons have two legs. So everyone who faithfully tries to depict his dragons give them two legs much as they faithfully try to match the hair color of one of his mythical races.  There is nothing stopping a vendor from making Mohawk John Snow but they more likely will depict him in the styling of the show or books.

they make as much sense as angels and winged fairies having arms while harpies only have a human chest and head with the rest being bird

the Bible on the otherhand doesn't stop at 2 wings, heads (even human) or number of eyes even

the OP can skip my little Ted talk as irrelevant to their query and they don't actually own the thread just because they started it cheeky neither do I

    tangents are inevitable

I was trying to avoid putting value judgements on either the creator of this thread or George RR Martin.  I just was trying to encourage the thread author to look at products that resemble what was depicted in the media rather than products that adapt a creature that doesn't resemble what was depicted in the visual media.

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that you were judging anybody.  I was trying to explain why there aren't any Game of Thrones morphs for the standard Daz Dragon.  It is not anything particularly rational but a design preference of the author, George R.R. Martin.  I will admit I kind of agree with it from a design point of view; we live in a world where every vertebrate has four limbs, no more and no less.  A six limbed creature seems either extraterrestrial or fanciful.   My favorite scary dragons are the dragons from Game of Thrones, the movie Dragon Slayer, and the later version of Smaug from the Peter Jackson movies but I have no beef with peopole who like their six limbed dragons.  There is enough dragons for everyone.  I am even fine with stylized women's armor.
