Is there an easy way to fit G3F clothes to G2F?

I got the medieval (princess) dress, but it doesn't autofit properly to G2F normally. Is there a fairly easy way to do this? Searching the forums, the suggested methods look absurdly convoluted.
(I'd return it, but as near as I can make out I wouldn't get anything for it, because I got it with another item, and the cost of the other item equals the cost I paid for the two bundled together with sale. So... yeah)

There is this but I don't know if it works fine for your need, I don't have it

It is possible that it has problems with long skirts, but I don't know
Eeeeh. Ok, well, thanks. ;)
I just used this Sickleyield product for converting a G3F long dress last night to a G2F figure. I have both this and the previous product mentioned. They both work great. Since your are converting to G2F then what you need is a clone made for G2F. This product works seems to work well with autofit whether the imported dress is from a newer gen or an older gen.

Easy to use. You just see a new option under Auto-Fit. Instead of Full-Body, you just choose Basic Dress. That's it.
EDIT: It might be that you have to use both the G3F clone and the G2F dress rig to replicate my results. I have both so I am not sure if both are needed.
Check out PDSmith on DA he has a DIY tutorial to make a G3f/V7 to G2f/V6 clone that will let you fit G3f/V7 clothing to G2f/V6
"The" thread for cloning and morphing between figures is this one started by Kattey.
I have put together a tutorial using her information which requires no other plugins or tools save D/S of course. The first part covers making the clone.
And here is the link for PDSmith's .pdf tutorial :-)
Yeah, PDSmith's tutorial looks great, I'll have to try it.
I'm particularly intrigued by it being 1) free (since I don't particularly feel like paying MORE MONEY so that I can spend MORE MONEY on G3 content), and 2) one-time setup (I don't feel like jumping through burning hoops every time I try to use something)
