Llamaghini Gallopngo How do I use this?

The promo shows that it's catching reflection and it looks great. The information suggests that there's a Daz version (not just Poser). I've even reinstalled it, and I can't get it to look decent at all.

I can't find the iray materials.

What's the trick?

That product was released in 2013-09-16 and so pre-dates iray - that is why you cannot find any such materials. That means the promo images would all have been done using the 3Delight - I haven't ever really done much with that so you'd need someone else to chip in on how easy it is to get reflections in that render engine.

It should be possible to make something similar with iray tho. If you select all the surfaces you can run the Iray Uber Shader on them to give you the parameters you expect. Then it should hopefully be down to adding appropriate lighting and camera angles to get the reflections. I don't have that product to test it out myself but if the converted glass doesn't play nice then you can replace the window surface with another glass iray shader.

EDIT: I have just seen that this question was asked a while back - see this forum post. However, the fix in that case was to replace the shaders with materials from sharecg which has since shut down. If you need there is a free car shader pack available via this DevantArt link.

There are some car paint shaders included in default ressources, and they are using a dedicated node setup for getting the effect.

But you should be able to get something similar just with Iray Uber.

    Hey DarkRepost,

Thank you for buying my product.  Since that does predate Iray, I would recommend to just use the car paint shaders that come with Daz Studio, as they are the shaders used in the Amazador version 2 products and you will get a really nice result with those.
