Replicator misbehaving when converting to real objects

Has anyone else experienced this? I have a replicator with a bunch of cards falling. But, when I turn the replications into real objects, they resize significantly!

size doesn't work when converting, it uses the default/zero size setting whatever that is, I found that out long ago with replicators set to varying sizing

This is very frustrating. I changed the overall size back to 100%, and scaled the actual geometry smaller, but it still does the same thing when converting!

Ok, I'll just have to work around it then. Something else: does anyone know if one can orient the camera's axis widget perpendicular to the camera instead of the workspace? See screen shot.

Take the object (to be replicated) into the model room and resize it there. (if the object is a carrara primitive, it will first need to be converted "Edit:- convert to other modeler...")
