external drive not being picked up

I've started using an external drive for DS content, but now it's suddenly not showing up in contents even though it was working fine earlier today, only the C drive stuff is showing. Any ideas?

    Is the external drive listed in explorer?

    For some reason it was no longer showing in the content manager tab, so I went back in there and re-added it, so it works now, but I don't know why it suddenly vanished.
