Predatron Zombie Step Van Disappeared From Store

I saw this earlier today and was going to purchase it about an hour ago when I discovered it isn't in the store anymore.  I wishlisted it, but the icon won't show up so I'm assuming it was taken down for some reason.  Is it coming back?

I think it was set live accidentally, so I assume it will be back, but no idea when that might be.  Given the theme I would hope this week.

The werewolfs and vampires were upset that it was trying to hog the spotlight early, so they carted him off. He may not look the same when he reappears. wink

I was thinking it might have been an accident or part of a Blink Sale and I didn't realize it.

I loved it. Great value too.

I worry about the state of it when it reapears, werewolves and vampires sure can do a lot of damage.crying

I am glad I am not the only person who noticed this. I was starting to question my sanity. It was in my cart, then it wasn't. I hope it comes back. It was an awesome deal with all the included props.

I was able to buy, download and install it. But as I tried to render a scene DAZ studio crashed again and again with an error log message which is pointing to a iray CUDA and graphic card memory error.

I assume that it has been taken off the store during it is under investigation and till the problem is solved. So this is just my guess. I didn't report this issue to DAZ yet because I wasn't sure about if this neither is a problem of DAZ, the product or my computer.

Yeah! I tried to put it in my cart this morning, and got an error 404 page. And, I really wanted it too.

    Basically a delivery van...think UPS/FedEx.

Not the Zombie Step Van; but here is an example of an ordinary step van:

After DAZ3D 4.9 BETA Public Build has been released I tried again to render an image using this beta version of DAZ3D and now it is working.

Still not sure if it is the beta release who fixed the issue or if it is just the fact that it is a fresh install of DAZ.

But this beta version seems to render noticeable faster. Maybe because of the updated iRay engine.

This is how the Van looks in a quick render.

    Resolution:  1080p

Render Time:   7 min. 56 sec.

And it now seems to be up in the store properly. Looking at the promo renders gave me a good laugh when I saw the most essential of all zombie hunting equipment strapped onto the roof - a surf board! laugh

This is most definitely going into my cart today.

I must say this looks very nice. I particularly like the promo image with the injured guy in the van, and the other woman wanting to shoot him. Poor dude. Maybe it wasn't a zombie that bit him.. I rarely see nice promo art like that since the advent of Iray.

I'm still waffling, but there are so many usable *props* that come with it.

I'm only waffling because it may not convert to Poser easily.  In most cases, DSON products will convert very nicely and it's the rare occasion they don't.  Some clothing doesn't convert well at all especially from certain vendors so I don't know what software they're using.

    Edited to clarify.

  • I purchased it and it converted okay.  I wish all models converted that easily.
