Maybe edit the thread title to add experiences. I'd be interested to hear the beta users experiences too.

I installed 4.9 & can use my content directories & cloud installed products without a problem except with the Autofit.

The top box comes up & I can choose the original figure but the bottom box has no options for the item type so I can only press accept or cancel -  Its the same for autofitting to G2 or G3 (& probably G1) & everything works fine in 4.8 using the same content directories so I don't think its anything I have done but its later here so it could be me sad

Does anyone else using 4.9 have this problem or know how to fix it?

    Thank you

If the experiences lead to questions, wouldn't it be better to post where Daz staff is trying to respond?  The main problem with having all these threads is that it becomes very difficult to recall which thread gave some illuminating piece of information that could solve your problem.  So far, I now have to scour a good handful of threads.

Well, for my money the changes to the Iray renderer resolved an issue I'd been having with 4.8-- because I'm a slob with a mere 12GB of RAM and a 3GB mobile video card that enjoys overheating with the sole intent of pissing on my chips. Needless to say, if I made an image much more complex that a woman sitting on a corrugated cardboard box in CPU mode, 4.8 would run out of RAM, snub the nearly sixty gigabytes of page file I made for it, and throw a major wobbler.

If I went for GPU mode, I could add a background and an extra character before it did that, but I'd have to sit and watch it run the GPU hot enough to boil water before cancelling, waiting for it to cool down, and then hitting resume for another ten iterations or so. Now it seems to be bahaving itself with eight G3F characters all in diffferent outfits with wildly varying textures.

So I suppose I'll call that a victory.

I will check the autofit thing, though.
