I can't select the different anatomical parts...

ZoritaeZoritae Posts: 48

Good afternoon.

Suddenly, I can't select the characters' anatomical elements to modify their poses. They don't appear, for example in the Scene panel the different parts of the abdomen. My right mouse button doesn't work either, and I can't modify the characters' postures.

I reinstalled the application from Magnager, and it still doesn't work.

I appreciate any help and feedback.

Best regards.

You mean Bones or Joints ?  Are you able to select them in Viewport ? Besides, what do you mean by "They don't appear "?

Also, check if your mouse malfuncitons ~~~

    Hello. Thanks for answering.

Forgive my clumsiness for not being able to explain myself.

What I'd like to explain is that anatomical elements such as the abdomen and its different parts don't appear in the Scene Tab tree.

Also, I can't select anything by clicking the mouse in the viewport. My mouse works perfectly.

I suspect the update to 4.24 is to blame. But I'm not sure.

I've attached an image so you can see the Scene tab.

Bien. Desinstalé el programa e hice una instalación limpia nuevamente.

Ahora está funcionando de nuevo. No sé qué hice mal.

    Saludos.

Abdomen in G9 has been replaced with Spline 1+2.

    Thanks for replying.

True. But I couldn't select it, either by clicking in the viewport or in the Scene tab.

Also, the right mouse button didn't work either. Anyway, after a clean reinstall, I got it working again.

It must have been my fault. I must have done something wrong.

Then check Node Selection Mode in Tool Settings. What is it set to?

Sometimes, the scene tab goes a bit sideways. I usually clear the issue with right click Select | Clear Selection. Then click on something. It becomes responsive again.

    Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Since I don't speak English, I think it's important to respect spelling and terminology to avoid confusion.

Node selection now works perfectly. I'm working normally.

But now that I think about it, what happened to me is as if the selection, node, universal, rotate, etc. tools were disabled.

But I'm sure it was because I did something wrong.

    Thanks and best regards.

Better post a full screen shot of DS application so that we may see what tool you were using....

From the screen shot, it seems that you were using Navigation Tool (Alt Shift + F) with which made you unable to select bones as well as your mouse righ-click didn't work in Viewport eigher ~~

Next time, just hit Alt Shift + U (Universal Tool) or Alt Shift + T (Translate Tool), you'll be able to make them work again ~~

I can't send a screenshot because I reinstalled the program and it's working perfectly.

Regarding the tool selection, what you're explaining is definitely what happened. I did something wrong.

Thanks for the help regarding the keyboard shortcuts. I'll keep it in mind in case it happens again.

    Best regards.
