Measure Metrics Error

I have no idea what this error is asking me to do, and more importantly why install manager didn't just handle everything.

Have you installed Measure Metric plugin as well as had it registered in Help > About Installed Plugins.... ?

Okay I figured out where my SN was and entered that so at least it functions, but I still don't know how to use it.

So, it seems that you were using Genesis 1 Male, is that correct ?

If it is, go to the product folder, load the measure wearable for G1M to the figure.... as shown in below screenshot 1... (I don't have G1 installed, so I loaded the one for G2M)

Then, you'll get the measurement results in Measure Metrics' pane. (screenshot 2)

The most I can figure out so far is to assign the tape measure start to a body node then move it in a straight line to another point in space and get a reading of preferred unit.  Nothing like what they demonstrate in the 20 sec videos.

Okay thanks that did help.  Also you need to uncheck filter by context in order to get all the various char shapes.
