Does Dynamic Clothing Control come with the base Daz3D 4.8 installation?

I only ask because there is a "Dynamic Clothing Control" tab already in my tools. But I also see that it's a product offered for $49.95. There's a product I'd like to buy that requires this. Thanks!

    You get a limited version of the plugin for free, automatically.

     

    The $49.95 control panel offers a lot better control over fitting and such.

    One more thing... I thought about buying this, but with the free plugin, there are "zero" clothing items I have that will work with it. I would get it, but I'm afraid it won't work with anything I have. Does the $49.95 version allow you to manipulate any clothing item, or just clothes that are considered "dynamic"?

    It has to be specifically designed to be compatible. Look for dynamic stuff in the store (and be sure it's Daz dynamic, not poser dynamic, which means something completely different).


    In addition, Optitex (who have the exclusive license to do this stuff) has a bunch of freebies that are really worth getting. You might want to get the freebies and play with them before committing.

    All DS dynamic products will have Optitex as one of the vendors.  If it doesn't say Optitex it is not for DS.  However there are a limited few Poser versions that have been converted from the DS versions, so do watch out for those few, and make sure that you purchase the DS version.

    One example of what I mean is this.  As you can see both are by Optitex, but one is a Poser specific version
