How to bundle a DAZ figure, maps, hair, and poses for sharing

Hello!

I need your help again.

Here's my current situation: I created a figure, rigged it, and made hair for it on a cap, which I parented to the figure’s head. I also created maps for all parts.

Now I want to pack the figure, along with the maps, hair, and poses, into a package. My goal is to send this package to someone else so they can easily import it into their DAZ Studio setup and use it just like I do, by placing it in the correct folder structure.

My question is: how do I do this? Any explanations or links to manuals would be much appreciated (pease no videos).

Thank you for your attention!

You must save the individual items as Figure/Prop asset. Then you can save the full character as a Persona preset.

Thefile you pack needs to include both the individual assets as well as the persona preset (it will only reference the items used).

The reciever need to install all the assets, then they can load the persona preset.

Better firstly check and understand in here : http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/publishing/start#packaging_content

    esp. the part Packaging Content

    Reminder:
    1) Make sure you've necessarily saved all figure assets of what you made.
    2) Add your Vendor Name as a sub-folder of each Content Type with their relevant user facing files, for instance, Character Preset files better be in : People \ Genesis 9 \ Characters \ your Vendor Name \ character Name
    3) Place all texture maps into Runtime \ your Vendor Name \ character Name \... before assigning them to relevant Surfaces / slots accordingly

Then, in general, copy all user facing files (Presets...), the files from data folder and runtime folder to a single product folder, then ZIP them.

Alternatively, you can consider using: https://www.daz3d.com/content-package-assist It's old but it works.

    - And please excuse the delay (I forgot this unusual separation between Daz and Daz forum and missed your answers:)) -
