am I the only one waiting for membership payment by store credit to return?

Maybe it's just me but am I the only one waiting for the ability to use store credit to pay for memberships to return?  I don't do auto-renew for recreation/hobby stuff either.

My current DAZ+ membership expires on the 11th (so end of day today I guess) and I canceled it so it wouldn't try to auto-renew. I don't think they have valid payment info on record but better safe than sorry.  I'm not keen on buying a membership and then canceling after it's processed because that just seems, well, "off" or something.  Especially since I'd pay with Paypal and have to cancel in two places.

I'm still hoping for a Store Credit option. My DAZ+ membership lasts till next July, so I'm crossing my fingers for the option to appear by then, otherwise I'll be sorrowfully dropping out of the membership I've maintained since 2010.

I guess it's just the two of us.  At least it should help me save money. :-)

No, I definitely prefer being able to make payments with store credit, because it eliminates any chance of something suddenly taking a large unexpected chunk out of my bank.

Right now I've swapped to a monthly subscription in order that any bites it's taking are small, but the fact I'm not getting the best deal means it's definitely making me think about whether I will be maintaining it very long.

The other advantage of buying with store credit is that the membership becomes cheaper in dollar terms, if you bought the credit with a GC at some discount, like 10 or 20% off.

    Shush, don't tell them that!

I stopped shopping here when my membership expired because of this; should it return, I'll consider subscribing again.

I also prefer the store payment for membership because it's a problem when yiu have no CC. PayPal asks to link a CC to your PayPal account and it's thus impossible to use PayPal as a payment method. The only option was the prepaid CC and trhat's what I had to use to pay my membership.

I do not have a CC. I do have a debit account and a debit card, and both seem to work fine with PayPal. Might be different where you're at.

Same here, my PayPal account is linked to my bank account, no card is currently registered there (one of my previous debit cards used to be, but I didn't register the replacement card when it expired)

When I looked at prepaid credit cards at Amazon there were a lot of complaints about cards arriving already spent by someone else and it was a nightmare to find customer support at the card issuer who could/would fix the problem.

Is that common with cards from Amazon?  I don't drive and can't just pop out to pick up a card at a local store.

    Of course, it's another option.

Well, my prepaid card is a debit card- It's just the way we name these cards where I live and depending on the bank selling these Visa or Mastercard cards.

The option went away because of serious flaws that could and were being taken advantage of. I doubt very highly it will ever return.

Thanks, Frank.  Not what I wanted to hear but I appreciate the info.
