... in my render. Can someone give me some ideas how to do this in Daz? I'd rather not have to resort to postwork (photoshop) as I have no idea how to do it there. Steam... simple steam... how do you make it?? Is there a product one can get that has those kind of possibilities, similar to the water drops and tears ones? It would be pretty useful.

There were some steam effects on sale in the shop a day or two ago, unless I dreamed that up. :-) Ron's Steam Effects maybe?
Since there isnt' a particle system in Studio, doing things that require curling, twisting steam/smoke are not easy to do. Most of the ways to do it involve using transparency maps and planes...

It's one of the easier effects to do as postwork, though. You simply open the rendered image in your favorite image editor and use a smoke brush to add the steam..

there is some free smoke and steam props at sharecg.com that work very well . you can apply the Daz Default uber Iray shader to them to make them work with Iray Smoke & steam

I've been thinking of using a fog shader with the liquid pack I got and see how that works out.
Those are some awesome suggestions! Thanks folks! I've seen the Ron's brushes before but I have no idea how you use them in Photoshop so I've avoided them. It would be nice to know, though, as he's got some great looking effects brushes.
I use GIMP myself, but I think you pretty much do the same thing. I also think Ron includes instructions, but basically you just add the brushes to the brushes folder. and hit refresh.
Here's as good as I can get in-engine, using SSS and liquid shaders. What would help is a good object that captures the flowy shape of smoke (the liquids are a little too blobby to be 'right')
Still looks better than nothing! What kind of SSS settings were you using?
.1 trans distance, trans color white
sss distance 2, amount .5, direction .5. Then refraction IOR 1/wt 1.

I am SUCH a novice at Photoshop, but love using Ron's brushes and it's easy. I download the brushes and make a separate folder for them, then in PShop you load the brushes (abr extensions if I recall?) and they will appear in your brush menu. You can select the size of the brush, the spacing, and rotate the angle- and it's all there in one place. Super easy!
5 min in Photoshop with the stock set of tools and you will have far more control over the effect and less time guessing in the render what works and what doesn't.
