Getting ready for my Acrylic Adventure

My current plan is to take some art created in DAZ Studio (and Poser), and create some acrylic paintings. This effort also involves using an old Xerox Phaser color laser printer.

In essence, I'll have two "galleries." One will be the color printings and the other will be my acrylic paintings.

One of my first paintings will be a portrait of my original character, Marlin Fingle. Marlin was created using Poser 4 and Michael 1. I altered Marlin this time, using the Crazy Male hair.

I would suggest having an AI render out your d/s render as a oil painting. That helps break down the colours for you into something more usable to transition into your acrylic paintings rather than working from a straight render

This is a discovery adventure, amongst other things. For a time I thought of using the colored gel pens I bought several years ago. The ink had dried, and the pens are unuseable.

Then I saw that I can trace the printed renders using my sketch pad. But the paper was too thick to get the fine details. So I ordered an inexpensive light box. That arrives today.

I went a bit hog wild. I ordered an acrylic paint set and acrylic marker set. They arrive over the next two days.

Stay tuned for more zany acrylic adventures.
