G8.1F Expressions 8.1 have stopped working (again)

Greetings,

I have tried reloading figures, loading saved figures that I hadn't touched in a while, loading brand new G8.1F figures, and on all of them some of the "Expressions 8.1" under "Pose Controls/Head", namely Angry, Frightened, and most importantly Smile Full Face and Smile Open Full Face, are no longer working.

This comes after a full reload of inventory including the Daz executable itself.  The log shows no hints as to what could be amiss.

There are no active pins on the figures, nor locked attributes on any of the elements on the head.

Anyone else have any ideas?  Not that anyone else would care about it but it's a blocker for my setups for rendering and I've no idea where to look or what caused this to break.

    I can't see Angry or frightened - did you have the Genesis 8 Expressions enabled (by removing the placeholders in the Genesis 8.1 data so that theya re not blocked)? If so that would have been undone by a reinstall. Smile Full Face does work for me.

    Hi, Richard!  No, I didn't do any modifications of that at all; I'm not sure how I would have accomplished that.  I see genesis 8 expressions and genesis 8.1 expressions and only some of the 8.1 are misbehaving for me.

    Oddly a reinstall of DS fixed it.  Don't know what happened, don't care, it works now, thank you!

    gods.  It's doing it again; uninstall/reinstall DS doesn't help, reboot doesn't help, none of the 8.1 characters are smiling for me with the Expressions 8.1  I am currently uninstalling EVERYTHING and reinstlling to see if it helps (this after doing the same over the weekend because I migrated to windows 11 and it kept my assets but lost all my paths so I had to reconfigure those).

    Technology has decided that I am no longer an ally.  I'm coming to the same conclusion.

    mine regularly stop working thanks to updates, those placeholder morph blockers sneak their way back

    I generally avoid the half generation and use only 8 or decide whether I can be bothered  closing studio and deleting those files again, not looked if it's repopulated since last time

    @WendyLuvsCatz * -- WHAT placeholder morph blockers?!?  I use cygwin on my computer and am extremely *NIX proficient so I could write a script to instantly handle this problem if I can find out what is happening where.  Any leads (paths to change, paths of things to remove, paths of scripts needing altering) would be a boon!

    everyone is speculating about the reason for them, its best not to address it

    as to my Username, it doesn't wrap on my browser

    I was careful not to exceed the letters hence luvs instead of loves or heart crying

    it used to be wendy♥catz until they stopped us using symbols
