Thank you so much for the wishlist filter! Works great. heartPlease check your DMs/Inbox for my coffee contribution.

I really miss the "sort by percentage" option in DAZ Deals, with the highest % off at the top. I don't know if that's something that's easy to create, but that'd be something quite useful too.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure this one is feasible either, because, while the store does provide the current sale price for every item, I couldn't find the full item price anywhere, which is needed to calculate the percent discount. I'll look again to see if I can find it, but no promises.

Since the Daz Deals plugin has a backend, I'm assuming that was the source of the full price data. But adding a backend requires maintenance, and so is beyond the scope of this.

Also, since it's a bookmarklet instead of a browser add-on, it works on mobile browsers (for the true shopaholics!), though activating a bookmarklet via mobile browser is not super convenient. In Android Chrome, you would need to type the name of the bookmarklet in the address bar, then click it when it shows up as a recommendation (don't know about other mobile browsers).

Thank you for the bookmarklet, and thank you for the explanation of how to use it on mobile! Working great for me! Sent a small thank-you to your inbox here. :)

It's working on Safari on my iPad using the same version of iOS.

Will check again, thanks for the notice!

Yes it does work! I had the sidebar (bookmarks) open so it was hidden.

DAZ woke up to that filter a while ago by not showing the full percentages off until in the cart

I wish the site had a filter for "Wishlist items" AND "Show ONLY items I own" this would help me find items I own, but don't know the exact name or vendor.

Do you mean a filter that shows an item if it's in your Wishlist or if you own it? Cause why would you have an item in your wishlist if you already own it (outside of buying a an item in a bundle that was wishlisted)? I do plan on adding the owned filter, so stay tuned.

Umm, no. 2 separate things. I wish Daz would have a filter that allowed a person to search ONLY for items they own. I can't remember the exact titles, so it will help me find things. In other words, the opposite of what is currently offered ( Hide items I own)

A completely DIFFERENT filter would be to filter for wishlisted items. Understand?

Unfortunately, I think that there would be problem with such a filter, in that if you own a product but it's not currently being sold in the DAZ store , it wouldn't show up in a search that uses the store software.  On the other hand, at one point Taosoft's store manager software could get around this problem, though I haven't checked to see it's current status...

I'll add my like/vote to this. yes

My recurring fantasy is a filter that hides all V4-M4-Genesis labeled products, letting me browse scenes, props, effects, vehicles, creatures, utilities, Bryce, Hexagon, Cararra, Poser, Vue more efficiently... even if a few outfit textures get through.

i am a DAZ Deals member. I tried your script on a browser that I do not have the browser add-on installed on. It works very well. Thank you and I bought you a coffee, with 3 espesso shots to perk you up for your next project, a script to show thumbnail image for each page of the DAZ product library. smiley

Heyy, appreciate the shots! Not sure what you had in mind with the product library (maybe a joke?), but I did actually make a script that lets you immediately jump to any page in your product library, or search your library (with regex support) and jump to the page of a specific product. I can release that too if anyone cares.

A "go to library page" seems interesting. Especially for someone with 404 library pages. laugh

In regards to thumbnails for the items listed on a library page, see attached image.

I've seen a lot of users note the lack of a wishlist filter option in the shop, and probably not everyone wants to install an add-on just for this purpose, so I made a simple free bookmarklet that adds this feature.

The forums don't allow browser code to be posted, so you can find the full details and code here: https://buymeacoffee.com/utiltarian/wishlist-filter

(I posted this in one of the threads on today's wishlist deal, but figured I'd make a separate thread since many will probably not see it.)

    Hope it's useful!

    You sir, are amazing!

Thanks for making something possible what couldn't be done by DAZ themselves for years.

I hope You get some gratitude (or even some shop credit) from DAZ for Your effort, now that they implemented it in the shop wink

Wow, I just stumbled upon this thread, I didn't realize the new filter was actually made by a user! Thank you so very much!  heart

(And I'm also one of those who are still hoping for a filter to see everything I already own in the store, and one to filter out the dang texture add-ons. Just in case you're collecting upvotes wink

Yes, the filters it'll have are:

    • Wishlist
    • Daz Original only
    • PA items only
    • Owned items
    • Hide Daz+
    • Hide Bundles
    • Within an ID range
    • Within a price range

I'll take a look at hiding new items, that one might be simple to add.

wow fantastic news! bravo DAZ, this is absolutely awesome! smileylaughyesheart ! glad you finally managed to add this sorely needed feature, without which browsing thru gigatons of products had long become a very tedious chore, even for freebies.

i always found it a real pity, sad and unprofessional that we had to rely on an external plugin for this very basic feature that should have been implemented for eons. and while i always appreciated the daz-deals plugin and ofc its dedicated team that works hard behind it, i def don't have 5$ for a pro version every month when i don't shop that often - i'd rather buy 1 20$ product every 4 months for that (well, actually i can't even afford that). it's not that i think it's not worth it, it's just that i'm broke to no end.

    anyways, great job daz! ^^

Nice to see Daz add the option themselves. I actually had nothing to do with them adding it, though perhaps this post gave them a bit of encouragement to do it.

Okay! Here it is, full featured filtering. Ended up getting a bit carried away with features. Feature explanation below, links at the end of the post, screenshots highlighting the features attached.

Someone had asked about adding the Categories filters to the wishlist. I initially dismissed it as a low-value feature since the homepage has it, but then I realized that 1) the current category filters feature is not very responsive, 2) it exists only on the homepage but not on other shop pages, and 3) it doesn't play nicely with my other filters.

So... I ended up writing my own version. My version is more responsive (i.e. works instantly) and adds the section to every shop page, including the wishlist.

Also, the current Categories filters only work as an inclusion filter (i.e. only show items belonging to the selected categories), but mine also supports exlusion filtering. If you Ctrl + Click an option, it will hide items from that category instead of show them. (On mobile, use long click to exclude. On Mac it might be the Cmd key? Not sure, don't have one.)

And, I was able to find texture categories within the data, so my Categories filters also add a Textures section. Combined with the exclusion filtering, you can use that to hide textures, as was requested. However, do note that the categorization data is not perfect, so some non-texture clothing items will end up getting hidden as a result. Unfortunately, the filter is only as good as the underlying data, so Daz (and/or the PAs) would need to fix any incorrect categorization for perfect results.

With that explanation out of the way, here's a summary of the full list of features:

    • Categories filtering section (as noted above): works on all pages, supports negative filtering, and adds Texture categories.
    • New filter checkbox options: Only Owned, Hide Daz+, PA-Only, DO-Only (aka Daz Originals), Hide Bundles, Non-Figure (as requested, was easy to add), Hide New, Only New
    • Two range filters: Only show items within an ID range, and only show items within a price range. For these filters, type in a range first, then enable the checkbox to perform the filtering. If you want to modify the filter range, type in a new value, then toggle the checkbox off and on again. For the price, type the item value in cents (no dollar sign, no period).
    • Sort wishlisted items by discount: as I mentioned in an earlier post, there's no good way to get the full price of all store products, but as a compromise, I can get the price of all the items in your wishlist. This sort will therefore prioritize your wishlist by descending discount before showing all the non-wishlist items in whatever order they're otherwise being sorted.

As someone that's primarily interested in content that offers an Interactive License option, I also wanted to be able to, at a glance, see which items do or don't offer a license option, and see which items I do or don't own a license for. For this, I added the following features:

    • Interactive and 3d Print Licenses filters: inside the Software filtering section, I added 4 new filters: Owned and Missing 3d Print Licenses, and Owned and Missing Interactive Licenses. To get this to work correctly, run the bookmarklet first, then enable the "Only Owned" option, then expand the Software filter section. If you don't first enable the "Only Owned" option, due to the way the store works, the "Owned Licenses" options won't appear, and you'll need to reload the page.
    • Interactive license highlighting: as you browse the store, items that offer this license will be highlighted green, those that don't will be red, and any that you already own will be blue. Because the highlighting only works on products currently visible, you can re-run the bookmarklet to highlight items as you scroll the store. This highlighting also works on bundle product pages: red means no license option, an unchecked checkmark means you don't own a license, and a checked checkmark means you do own the license.

Since there are a lot of options, and not everyone probably cares for all features, you can also easily customize which features are enabled. Instructions are in the desktop link.

    A few notes:

    • To get the Categories filters to show up on other pages, you must run the script on the shop homepage (to save the category filters setup to browser data). You only need to do this once (not once per session, but once in total), though if at some point you clear your browser data, you may need to re-run it again.
    • The logic for the Non-Figure filter is to hide every item that belongs to any of the Figure categories. You can achieve something similar by excluding Characters, Clothing, and Hair in the Category filters section, but the results are not exactly the same, and some items will slip through (or be hidden) due to imperfect data in both scenarios. Also, feel free to remove the option when customizing if you don't need it.
    • To specify a range in the range filters, you use a dash. No dash means "any value higher than what you entered." Values are always inclusive. Examples:
      • To only show items less than or equal to $6, enter: 0-600
      • Between $5 and $20, enter: 500-2000
      • Above $10, enter: 1000
      • To show items with an id greater than or equal to 50000, enter: 50000
      • To show items between 20000 and 50000, enter: 20000-50000

And with that, I've gone quite a bit beyond what I originally planned for this, so I don't expect I'll be adding any additional features (outside of fixing anything that might break). I do appreciate all the coffee tips though, many thanks to you! And hey, if Daz likes my work and would like to hire me to build extra features for the shop, they're free to reach out.

    Desktop bookmarklet here: https://buymeacoffee.com/utiltarian/advanced-filters-desktop

On mobile, there seems to be a ~5000 character limit for bookmarklets (at least on Android Chrome, don't know about other browsers). As a result, I had to split the bookmarklets into 2, and remove the license filtering/highlighting features. Find them here: https://buymeacoffee.com/utiltarian/advanced-filters-mobile

    Enjoy!

This is just AWESOME ! The number of filter options are insane. Thank you soooo much for making and sharing this. heart

I just tried out the non-figure option for some pages, with the textures filtered out, and saw stuff I'd never seen before on DAZ, since I'd never have the patience to scroll through all that. Wow. I'm going to go explore some more... smiley

    OMG, Utilitarian! surprise

You are an absolute ROCK STAR!!! This is amazing! I tried the filters on my wishlist, noticed I had one purchased item among all my pages of stuff (result of buying a bundle and having the single item still on the list), clicked the 'only owned' filter, and found it right away. Took two seconds to remove it from the list, vs. the several minutes of looking page by page that it would have taken me otherwise.

My mind is blown. You're a genius.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!

    heart
