Using Genesis 9 method to practice drawing by hand

I'm thinking of using the Genesis 9 method to help me practice drawing better, especially for drawing people in poses. Any ideas how to help me make this work? I'm guessing if I don't have a background it would be easier to print just the characters. I need to use clothes on the figures, because I don't want to do painted on swimsuits like what early Victoria 4 had.
I think I might have enough content to start when I get home today. I can use the free version of DS until I can afford premiere?

Croquis drawing is often done with nude models. There the task is to create the shape of the model, usually within a short timeframe. It is a good exercise to learn to focus on the essential part of a shape.
But I will say you can use any generation for drawing, and you will not need premier for that.
You might then decide that you want Premier for other reasons.
Artists will typically draw the human figure underneath before adding clothing, because anatomy is essential.
I understand but I rather do anatomical drawing exercises with swimsuits.
I have found printing out references for drawing/painting to be an expensive endevor. Going digital using a graphics tablet was a much more streamlined, and in the long run, cheaper process for me.
Genesis 9 comes with underwear assets. The base figure does not have a lot of anatomical definition which may or may not suit your needs.
You do not need the Premiere software. The free version is totally capable of making great stuff.
What you would benefit a lot from is getting some poses and getting some specific textures. Some specific examples would be muscle textures. For example, for G9

Probably it is a good idea to get the Muscles Genesis version 8&3, because you can find more poses, and sometimes with a great discount n_n

There are also some Morphs. Look for one that has sliders so you can adjust the intensity. This would be useful to define shapes, with skin on top :)
Also, you could get a skeleton. There is one for Victoria 4 and Michael 4. That is something that nothing else can do drawing by viewing the muscles themselves and seeing the bones.
And if you want to adjust the poses, the Power Pose panel is your best friend.

But even using the free version and some free assets you can get, I would say that, besides posing, the most important thing would be lighting and framing. Try first 1 light setups.
My primary use of DS is referencing figures for hand drawings. If you're not picky with lighting, viewport renders (doesn't need to be Filament) are sufficient. I sometimes use a clothed figure, usually they're bald. Backgrounds and props are only added, if they’re intended to be part of the drawing.
For poses, you can either use pre-made ones or find/Google pics of the poses you want and pose G9 to match. Since this is DS, you can then move around the viewport to get the angle you want.
When I draw, I lightly sketch (to where it's easy to erase) the basic shapes of the human figure first. Then, slowly add the details afterwards.
