Need some help with a strange glitch

I'm trying to render a scene, and I've got a problem that I don't think I've seen before.  I'm using Ye Olde Library for the environment, I've opened the ceiling to let some HDRI light (PRO-Studio HDR Lighting System 2) in, and switched out the candles to some from one of the ROG sets with the brightness turned up.  2 ghost lights behind the subject making a sort of corner.  Everything in the picture looks great in render, EXCEPT the guy's outfit.  It keeps rendering with some sort of artifacts, see attached picture for the render (I didn't let it render out completely, so the quality is not great, but you can see the problem).  I thought it was an issue with the outfit, dforce wizard lore outfit, but I've switched it out for other clothes and they all have the same problem.  At one point, I moved the camera and removed the ghost lights, and it went away, but it was too dark and not the angle I want.  When I switched back, the glitch happened again.  Now I can't repeat whatever made it go away earlier.  Using Daz Studio regular build (not beta or alpha) and iray on a Mac.  Has anyone seen anything like this before?

    Two things come to mind here:

    1. Select the wizard's outfit's mesh and check the Mesh resolution in the properties. Is it Base or High Resolution? Can you switch to High Resolution? If yes, try it, if not you may need to convert the mesh to SubD, however I had bad results in the past with triangular meshes.
    2. Again select the outfit, this time the surface. Check, when using Iray check the Geometry option Smooth. Is it on? If not switch it on, and also check Angle, however I never played around with these much.

    Do you have the ghost lights intersecting with the dress?

    I'm not on a MAC but I do remember a glitch like that where if you just adjusted the camera angle slightly it got rid of it, maybe that would help?

    Thank you so much, markusmatern, Elor, and Elliandra, for your help!!!  I tried everything ya'll mentioned.  Nothing solved the problem entirely, but raising the Sub D to 4 made it a LOT better.  It's not jagged anymore, it just looks like the lighting is hitting it a bit weird.  Geometry option was already set to smooth.  The ghost lights weren't intersecting, but they were very close, so I backed them up a bit, I think that helped.  I tried moving the camera several times, but despite that working that one time, I can't get it to make a difference.  Just trying odd things, I found that adding a geoshell with the exact same textures as the robe seemed to help a little, too.  All in all, your tips made it better enough that I'm fine with it, I'll probably be able to smooth the rest of it out in post work.
