@cellulo! Happy to see you are still around these forums.
Thank you so much for you Forgotten Carrara tutorials.
I updated some non-working links here since it would be sad if they got lost:

Thanks Therix, hope it's useful for all people, these files will be always available on my website as long it can stay online like my trueSpace files page and all others programs files.
Here a cool auto character system plugin (open source) for Modo 17.1 (plugin maybe inside Modo 17.1, not checked) : https://www.autocharactersystem.com/

That looks stunning. Just curious, I downloaded Vue 2024 and the Plantfactory today; the plant catalogues go from 2019 to 2023, will they work on the 2024 edition? Also the additional 3D assets are labeled 2019-2021, is it worth downloading or will I be wasting bandwidth (I'm on the neighbour's network and yes, he is aware of it).
I'm currently downloading 17.1 and wanted to download the user manual PDF. It's 4600+ pages...
Refferring to the Vue, plantfactory and all downloads from Bentley:
I am not sure, but I guess everything works and it's worth.
Be aware that if you download everything it's about 46 GB, though.
There is some good stuff in there for Vue. I downloaded it all and transferred it to my big multi terrabyte drive.
Is there only a Windows release of 17.1? No Mac or Linux? I ask, because I've been dual booting Windows 10 and Linux for a while, but as of 14 October I will likely be Linux only.
[EDIT: To get the Mac and Linux downloads also, here is the page link:

Thanks. I don't know for sure, but my experience over the years with successive verions of VUE is that the content they provided works with subsequent versions.
Sadly this animation plugin for modo is no more sell, : https://www.psoft.co.jp/en/product/cbox/
their F.A.Q. says -
Installation :
The plant archives from PlantCatalog work in both the 2023 and the 2024 versions without issues.
There is also a low cost plugin for plantfactory to blender.
Thank you for the Modo links. Looks interesting! We're not better off when a tool like this or Vue goes away.
True. I recall buying Lightwave long ago because they offered a package deal including VUE. I never got any good at Lightwave, preferring Carrara (I am not a modeler, just an animator), but I still love VUE.
I loved Lightwave back in the day. Now, I'm curious to see. But Carrara does so much and Blender has come so far; and both so much more affordable.
