I wrote this poem at read it at a talent show.

I wrote this poem "There's a Place" about 30 years ago. I read it at our building's talent show a few weeks ago. It was a hit! Thunderous applause.

I have not read a poem in front of a crowd since I was 18. (I'm 75 now!)

    Congrats on getting out there again, and boy I feel like a youngen here at 50. My body don't agree however, it feels in the 80's, lol. I know I would be very rusty, and freaked out getting up in front of a school full of kids and teens when I was a police officer and talking about thatever topic I was told that wanted discussed and stressed.

    I started out as a shy child. I'm very sensitive. I was harassed by bullies through much of my school life.

    But there is a part of me who absolutely loves people and life in general.

    This has been brought out by 4 years of living here,
