Major problems with Daz Install Manager today

Couldn't see another thread about it, but I would hope it isn't just localised to just me, so I figured I'd post. Having a lot of trouble with DIM, with downloads regularly stalling or not completing at all, and when they DO work, they've been going much slower than my internet speed should allow. Sometimes hitting 'retry' on a download instantly fails as well. I'm also experiencing trouble getting it to install the downloaded products; I have the setting enabled to install after download, but today this seems to be very hit and miss as to whether it'll actually work, and manually enqueueing the installations goes at a snail's pace as well, even with modest file sizes.

I honestly don't think I've had this many issues with DIM since the early days of it being around. I'm not sure if this is an issue local to my system - although nothing has changed since I last used DIM without any problems, so I'm at a loss for what it could be - or if it's something on Daz's side, but it's definitely frustrating - I've picked up some new assets that I want to use, but DIM isn't cooperating.

Appreciate any thoughts or help, or even just to know it isn't something only I'm experiencing!

    I have just tried, and I didn't see any problems.

    It has happended that it was slow or issues, but have always cured itself a little later.

    Unless it is a specific product that is causing problems.

    I had one retry yesterday on a 2.2Gb product. I just tried it again and it picked up from where it left off. It installed okay after that.

    I was on my desktop Windows 10 computer that has the worse internet connection and drops off like crazy. I am very careful to download in small groups of small sized items and do larger sized items by themselves. Yesterday I found a Windows update had been downloading in the background also.

    But regardless of machine, I babysit each download and make sure they install okay. I get that 'Retry' a little too often some days.

    I've been having a similar issue with DIM that the OP described. This is the first time I've ever had DIM fail to download a product; it's always been reliable and reasonably fast.  This morning I was able to download a product for the first time in a week. Hopefully it's going to be reliable again.

    When I started it today the saved password was missing (password field blank) so I had to re-enter it, don't think I've seen that before.  But otherwise it worked as usual. 

  • I started having similar issues as OP after resolving some odd unrelated glitches in the account dropdown last week.

    Been trying for several days to download several recently purchased items & finally got the last done earlier today. Now it's not uncommon for me to get "DIM lost connection" messages or failed downloads, because our DSL is superslow. The last few days it has been constant, and retrying doesn't work at all; I have to shut down DIM, often via Task Manager. Today when I finally successfully logged in, download tab was empty for the longest time, although fortunately the install tab showed some of the Filatoon shaders I thought had totally failed. (I also have install at download option checked.) They took forever to install, eventhough, being shaders, they were small files.

    I wonder if it's somehow connected to all the Cloudflare issues, which are once more increasing?
