Felt like I was hijacking Stezza's thread which I love.
Future projects will be discussed here. Also any tips for workflow can go here. Issues can be raised in case someone has an answer. Freebies can be uploaded or links provided. Anything else Blender to Carrara to be discussed.

hey, do you know how to drop selected verticies down to a plane? and when I select verticies I only seem to be getting the front ones, not the back ones :)

2. Toggle X-Ray then box select your vertices

Above answer of 1 and 2 was in response to your question, in Blender I would try the steps in reverse, 2 first, then 1. Hope you're not totally confuzzled !!!
I was confuszed when I was born ;)
Been using the sculpting tool in blender for a while , using it on carrara designed objs , lately doing sun faces, been a pita trying to get a flat back. Unfortunately carrara can't handle the large objs if I try to reimport them,pity, would love to go between the two
Watch out, Guys! Our only real friend here is Carrara! ;-)
Google is definitely not our friend; it is just "friend" of our data.
Better friends of our web searches are Startpage, Qwant, DuckDuckgo, and the less private but environmentally friendly Ecosia :-)
Would love to use Carrara for all my modelling, but Blender has lots of Bells & Whistles .....
I use DuckDuckGo. To me "Google" is to search the web for what you are interested in.
Yes, I also use 'Google' as a verb in a sentence, but use DuckDuckgo to conduct web searches.

I use UV camera/viewport projection in Ultimate Unwrap 3D on my own models after dividing them into separate surfaces
(never done it in Blender but he says how, much the same)
the gradient thing is fascinating, it's fake lighting but looks great, I was thinking for your greebles

Was going to update the freebie links since ShareCG is now past history.
Originally was thinking about CGTrader, then settled for Renderosity - had a glitch in the matrix as I uploaded the Bryce versions to Rendo but they are not accepting duplicates despite the fact they are for different softwares. Another option is RenderHub.
Any preferences out there ?
EDIT - Could do a part upload to another site outside of Rendo, and in future do a combined Bryce-Carrara upload to Rendo in future .....

what if you put the Bryce and Carrara files in the one zip file..
I know you have already said that but it seems the most easiest for Rendo Ross
Hello Stezza - I was uploading the files the same as ShreCG uploads, but doing Bryce first. There was a little disclaimer on the Rendo upload site of Duplicates Not Allowed, but I thought that while the same model they are for different softwares so not actually duplicates. Anyway when I uploaded the Carrara files they hung for a long time, so I thought they had been given the thumbs down, however they have since been allowed which is good news. After this initial batch of doing them seperately, I will upload the files as a joint Bryce-Carrara file so that should keep everyone happy, apart from those who download the files and only want the one software .....
EDIT 2 - Rendo has uploaded the Carrara items - yay !!!
