Tulip Hair WM?

Hi

Just purchased this product and go to load it but I ahve a choice of 3. One is a Back Filler which looks like an extra morph but then I'm left with Tulip Hair or Tulip Hair WM. I'm assuming that WM means weight mapped but what is the difference? Is there a cost (as in slowing down the viewport, etc.) to using the WM version? I have found the manual but there's no mention of WM or weight map in that.

Take a look at the product documentation for your answer, each also has a User Guide and Tutorial .PDF

As I said above, the .PDF does not mention the WM option. However, the readme you linked has this (I'm assuming WM beans the one with bones?):

The Hair comes in two varieties: with and without bones.

    • The one with bones, will closely follow Genesis head movements (like a hood) so you will not experience the hair poking through her body, however, the morphs and movements are also affected, and therefore will not flow as naturally as they should. You should use this when you don't want to tweak the hair at all and with more static setups.

    • The one without bones will still move with Genesis, but the length of the hair will not stick to her neck and shoulder. This means the morphs are free to move at their best, you may need more tweaking, but you have much more control.

I'm not sure what the "WM" stands for, but that's the hair with the extra bones described in the documentation.  If you load both hairs, select one, right click and Expand-All, you'll see the difference in the number in bones which will offer flexibility in posing the hair.

    Maybe it's "With Movement"?

Because it's rigged rather than morphed?
