Swords & weapons for Genesis 3?

I may have missed some, but I'm pretty sure I scoured the store....has anyone made a product with swords and/or other weapons for Genesis 3 yet? I have the Gun product which is good (although I kinda don't like that there aren't any hand poses for the guns....it poses the hand when you add the gun and I kinda dislike that)
I tried to get swords smart propped for Gen2 into Gen3's hands but boy o boy, do i SUCK big time at posing....I went slightly insane trying to get that sword in her hand properly and do a good hand pose for it.
So has anyone seen any weapon sets for Gen3 yet that I may have missed? Swords or daggers preferably.

Hunter Queen out today comes with a dagger
Hmm.. it's a figure stuck to her hip so you'd have to move it down to zero position and export as obj and then reimport it to use it as an actual weapon. Looks nice though.
Hmm I was tempted to pick that one up, cos it came with a bow - but the boots put me off. Really disappointed to hear that about the dagger too. I keep hoping Porsimo will come out with a set for G3 - I've got a few of his and I love them, but boy, I am going BLIND trying to get a sword in G3's hand. :sigh:
I like the top and the sword, but I'll have to wait till I can see if I can get it on super sale - don't want to pay that much when I'd only be using the sword. I'll keep it in mind tho, thanks. :D
Yeah the boots are pretty ridiculous.. but they didn't skimp on matzones, you can keep the leg straps and armor plates but make the shoe parts invisible, would have to find another pair of boots that fit under though.
Yep, that works.. made the shoe parts of the Hunter Queen boots invisible and put Darkest Eve (G2)'s boots under with the top part made invisible. It's not perfect but nothing a couple d-fromers couldn't fix in a jiffy.
Hmm....might take a second look. $7 is an excellent price for a bow - is there a hand pose for the bow?

did you see the newly added hunter queen from ozichick? has you covered with the bow
I haven't had any difficulty fitting G2 weapons to G3F, including the rifle from the Rogue Sci-F suit.
It has a hand pose for the arrow and for the bow grip, haven't looked at them to see if they're realistic though. You're on your own for the rest of the pose though.
Same here. I usually get it right once, then save that hand pose for later. I still use genesis1 hand poses on GF3, LOL.
I also find that if I load up a V4 pose and save it as a .duf format, then I can use the 3DU pose converter for GF3 and it works fairly well most of the time
That's before I even deal in hand poses, but I usually take existing poses and modify them to whatever purpose I have in mind.
damn, i missed those Dark Fantasy weapons. I think I saw them when they came out but I missed seeing the daggers - I saw the scythe and the woomera thingy and didn't want them so completely didn't see the daggers. That's kinda what I want so on the wishlist they go till next month's coupon :D

i have archery poses for Gen2 (don't think they are particularly realistic tho, but then, I don't do realistic art LOL) and can convert them - I'm not too bad at tweaking poses, but there is something about getting a weapon in a hand and posing that hand that I am absolutely god awful at. I just can't seem to manage it.
Seriously, I've tried! I've tried till my eyes bleed and I want to cry.
I can tweak an existing pose usually...that's no problem. But honestly, getting a weapon smart propped to someone else into the hand of Gen3 in the correct position for some reason gives me fits.
I swear I would pay for weapon refits done well :sigh:

We've got SHORT boots (YAY), bow and arrow, and daggers.
I can't quite work out if the daggers or long sword can be detached from the outfit tho and put in her hand....

Agreed. :) I'm unfamiliar with Bluebird 3D Clothing, but I'm VERY familiar with Arien's work and know she does top notch quality. It's going in the cart. :) There also seems to be a right and left hand pose for the sword, so I get sword and bow and daggers. Quite happy :) (Particularly as it's low boots, and there's a sexy and a non-sexy version).
I'm just trying to figure out now if I can stretch the budget towards that fantastic looking vampire girl *grin*
Yup I was considering it, but the boots swung it the wrong way for the PA; it's rare I buy an outfit like that with heals. Not sure I ever have, but certainly not for a long time.
And yeh, Arien's looks great and I didn't dismiss it when I saw the boots. They look believable. I have a few of her outfits, I like the no heels options; I can normally make sexy outfit believable if required, but high heels are a big ask when the character is doing anything above a walk.

I wish I had gotten the Morduin outfit during the PA sale, but I wasn't sure about how much Fantasy I wanted until I saw the Aldis Adigard outfit. *sigh*
The Hunter Queen and Fantasy Ranger outfits are so different, you could have both and not feel cheated (unless you are anti-cheesecake). I might not love the heels on the hunter outfit, but that giant leaf on the ranger outfit? Nope. Not my kind of look.
As for modern stuff, the Tactical Shotgun from Polish came with a bunch of poses (including G3F) that could work with other guns.

Right. I need to start paying MORE attention to what is released in the store, instead of skipping over them. I had NO idea that a shotgun had been released including G3 poses for it. :sigh:
Cos I kinda prefer the look of the Fantasy Ranger better (and plus I don't have enough money to get both LOL)

So...I was thinking that the PC+ sale was the 'Absurd Female Warrior' sale for a bit. The first outfit had metal upper breast covers, but left the underboob exposed? Like...EXACTLY where a dagger needs to go? My partner and I laughed about that a bunch of times. The second outfit was neater, the random holes in parts were a little silly, but that bow tempted me. The bow is ornate, while still pretty cool, but the heels made me facepalm...hard, and the arrow seemed over-the-top. Today I was considering getting it, because I checked and it had a bow-pull morph. The third outfit has full covering, although the leaf pattern in the torso is just nonsensical...hopefully it can be hidden. The bow is somewhat plain, but not bad...
So I compared the morphs. And OMG! The Fantasy Ranger's bow morphs are sufficiently more detailed, that it hit my cart with a loud clang! Sure, it's more expensive (almost $2 more!) but it's worth it. Covering, better bow morphs, no heels, trifecta!
Unseriously though, one Short Sword of Underboob Stabbing and the majority of the DAZ Heroine population would be wiped out! The evil villain could stand on a metal mesh, or just swampy ground, which would cripple all the high-heeled heroines, and stabby, stabby with the Underboob Slayer, and no more Heroine's Journey for her!

LMAO! Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten any of them if I didn't have a character in the making that needed an obviously fantasy looking skimpy bikini for the promos.
As far as the Bluebird/Arien outfit.. I'm sure Bluebird modeled most if not all of the outfit, I know she's been doing a lot of commisions for Daz lately. She's the one that also does really nice environments, she keeps them under a seperate store though from her clothing. http://www.daz3d.com/bluebird-3d ; So that's definately a winning team right there, as Arien is right up there in top (mainly) texture artists in our community. (Not to downplay her modeling ability, she's realeased some top notch things on her own)
And I really like the plain looking bow because it looks like it could actually exist and work.
That new ranger set does have many nice bits, including the bow. I like the daggers on the thighs, which are a bit impractical. The sword is rather light, though. Maybe it's a toothpick?
And on the armor, the aforementioned leaf is strange. (cue Max and Chloe)
That was kind of a tricky set because it wasn't obvious about the poses until you clicked on it. It was easy to miss. Once I saw there were poses for G3F, it was an easy decision to buy.
