I never thought I would be making this request, but I'm looking for the world's most ostentatious heels for G9.
Seriously, the most outrageously blingy things you can think of. Something you'd look at and immediately think of the working ladies on Hennepin Ave (or whatever your local equivalent is). They don't have to go with anything. In fact, it'd be better if they're the sort of thing that couldn't possibly ever go with anything.
Background: one of my mains, who has never in her life worn heels, winds up having to get a pair. She's going to a fancy party as the +1 to a guy-friend as crown-hunter deterrant, but he's like a foot and a half taller than she is, and she doesn't want to be dangling off his arm like an 8-year-old. Enter the heels. Except she's having an awful time at the shoe store finding anything... and comes across these. And at this point she's just so over the whole process that she tries them on as a joke, to the vast amusement of her BFF, who is pretty sure the hot place just froze over.
So yes. I could look through pages of G9 clothes until my eyes cross, and possibly miss the best pair ever because it's hidden in some outfit without a clear shot... or I can ask here.

LOL Well she considered stilts, but it didn't work for the venue. So she's doing the best she can with what she's got.

I think that it will unfortunately be almost impossible to decide what, exactly, are the most ostentaious heels, as I think that is probably EXTREMELY subjective. However, I did a quick search, and found a couple that are very tall, and rather unusual looking, so would probably at least stand out in the average corner shoe store?

The character in question would absolutely never wear anything ruffled, ever, so if I throw an outlandish shader at it and kitbash a couple blingy jewelry bits to them, I think they'd be the absolutely most improbable shoes possible for her.

I am laughing so hard because I know people who 100% would have attempted the above picture. (I would've been on the sidelilnes taking pictures as proof it happened.)

I have honestly no idea how one would walk in a lot of the shoes available in the store
I have one pair of platform shoes but they're wedges and like 5cm in front / 10 in back, so they're quite easy to walk in. Those mega high platforms with stilleto heels though? No thank you...
Okay, so not just me, then. The fanciest place I go is the grocery store, so I wasn't sure if it was some fashion trend for people who go clubbing or suchlike. And I've never been a "shoe girl" so I'm willing to admit complete ignorance.
I've never been a fashion girl at all, really. My eldest has been baffled at my lack of style since they were about three. I'll own it. They can look fabulous enough for both of us.
From my wife & two daughters, only my youngest daughter wears any form of heel (about 2"). The other two give a hard 'Nope'. However, I think height does enter it. My youngest is a mere 5'7", while her sister is 6'2" and mum is 5'11". Given that I'm 6'1", my youngest feels like she's a squirt and often has to stand on something to reach a shelf the rest of us can reach with ease.
