New purchases going MIA

Lately I suffer a recurring problem. Some of the orders do not install after downloading in the DIM

to date I have lost like 4-5 products that specifically does not install.

I've tried uninstall and reinstall and ZILCH.

Any suggestions or how do I go about requesting a refund?

Do they just stay in 'Ready to Install' or what?

What does your DIM log say?

What do you mean by " does not install " ?  You could find them in Installed tab (since you said you've uninstall and reinstall...) but couldn't find them in Smart Content ?

Maybe list the products in question.

Carrara, Bryce, and a few of those type product components won't install.

    Strange, you are right.

I "bought" some very old GoFigure bundles because I owned all the member products and so the price was zero for the bundles. Only then, did the products I already owned 9 years ago and even longer, become available in DIM to download!!!

Some products will be in DIM but won't install correctly, especially Carrara and Bryce products.

Given all the GoFigure products I bought but don't show up in DIM, I wonder how many products I've bought total that I've never downloaded because they didn't appear in DIM to be downloaded?

Moved to Technical Help as it seems to be a DIM rather than a Daz Studio issue.

We do need more information. For example, many morph packs don't add files thata re visible in the content panes - rather they add new property sliders to the figure.

Also knowing what the item is, would help to determine what version of a program is needed to be ticked in DIM for download.

I bought a pair of V4 highheels and found out I needed to have a very old version of DAZ Studio ticked so they would be recognized. I was so new I didn't understand there were 'Legacy' products that would not show up for Daz Studio 4.5 if that was all that was ticked. (And now I get ALL the Legacy products available for the earlier generations. I just don't install them.)

.duf format was introduced in DS4.5, but V4 was created long before DS4.5 and even DS4 existed.

So yes, DS companion files for V4 content will most of the time be in the format older versions of DS used instead of .duf. That is, if there are DS files, as a lot of V4 content was only in poser format.

Where does this Legacy content install? Is Legacy the same as DAZ Studio 3? It's not is it, as for example, I have pwToon for DAZ Studio 3 but I don't have DAZ Studio 3 installed, I have DAZ Studio 4 installed along with pwToon for DAZ Studio 4 installed.

OK, nevermind, it turns out except for one solitary updatte to an old product all the legacy product content was installed in newer version. I did check all the application checkmarks, even 32-bit, in DIM now though. And I did download all of it, but instead of installing it, I just hid it in the Ready to Install Tab.
