"SMAY" Help... I need more scars... how?

http://www.daz3d.com/body-scars-decals-for-genesis-2 - I have this package and I positively LOVE IT! Wow, what a wonderful job you've done on this. But I need MORE scars on his back.

This is going on my bookcover - Saoirse - well, I believe that it is. I usually do three different covers and then choose the one that strikes me the hardest. However, I can't figure out how to add more scars other than post-work - copy and pasting - cloning, etc.

Is there any other way?

This was a test render that I did... I still need running blood, a shiny raw look needs to be added, as well as him looking as if he is sweating, and I'm going to ragged his breeches. But for now... first step... more whip scars...

if it's a static image for a book cover I'd do it post work in Photoshop or Gimp, it's going to give you far more precision than painting on a UVmap or bumping, displacing or otherwise mapping a normal to get something close and I personally don't think it will be as good as post work.

you might want to check out these as well for drips and rips for either the postwork route or direct painting to your model textures.
