Star primitive?

I'm trying to figure out how to make a five-pointed star primitive and ramming my head against the wall. Anyone have any ideas, or any places I could look for/purchase a download?

EDIT: I found a tutorial for Blender that I'm trying. Sorry I didn't think of that beforehand. Long day.

I guess you could start with a hexagon in Hexagon wink

I tried one in Carrara but it came out weird

It's extremely simple in Blender, and if you need things like this, it would be worth learning at least the basics.

Generate a 10 vertex circle, checker deselect to end up with only every second vertex on the perimeter selected, scale inwards.

I've attached a very basic one. Doesn't come with any controls to adjust the shape, but should have a UV.

LOL that's exactly how I made mine in Carrara but it sized up weird and UV mapped even weirder

edit I scaled out not in

  • Thank you. I am guilty of letting panic overtake me and not remembering that I have resources like Blender that I can use with just a bit more practice and a bit more time browsing YouTube for tutorials.

Another route if you just want prims. Spacebones has a few options for you to review: Renderosity - 3D Models | 3D Software | 3D Art. in particular to you request: I suggest these: Various Objects
