Some of us don't have gardens with huge swimming pools. Instead we have pad-pools (as my brats used to call them). The image below is entirely made from freebies when I got them (some permanent, some temporary) except the human and cat. Think 7 freebies are mine, and they're in the free stuff forum or another well known purveyor of such things.

    Regards,

    Richard.

    Nice render!

...the random traffic cone on the gate post made me giggle. I feel like there's a story there...

There must be billions of traffic cones in the UK, and there aren't enough miles of roads for all of them to live on the roads all the time, despite their best efforts. So, like any insidious invasion, they creep across the country unnoticed, infiltrating where least expected.

We have four cones in our garden. When we arrived in the house 20 years ago there was one. We have no idea where the other three came from. We haven't bought any, we haven't picked any up, they've simply appeared. I think they must have been breeding and be able to do parthenogenesis (breed with no partner).

Our dear Maine Coon cat Rooster used to settle himself down on the pad-pool top tube when we got in. Maybe he thought he was a lifeguard cat, not sure, but he always oversaw us in the pad-pool.

    Regards,

    Richard.

Love it. Flowers brighten up any scene. May I ask which hair that is, please, and the cat fur? :)

The character is Barnabus and the hair comes with him https://www.daz3d.com/barnabus-ragwort-fantasy-figure

Richard, I love that the cat is staring at the floating squeaky toy but also doesn't want to get wet.

    Perfectly captures cat behavior.

    felis, another great cat scene.

Great, thanks. I didn't realize this character also came with hair! And what about the cat fur? It's a fur shader that you applied?

  • felisfelis Posts: 5,745

The cat is Zeus, and has dForce hair, but is no longer available at Daz (unfortunately).

Daz Cat has also dForce hair, but if you use him I will recommend to apply the Omnihair shader (and set tessekation to 0) as it looks better in my view.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the recommendation :)

I picked up the L3D SummerShadows for Genesis 9. Thank you LUNA3D. I liked the delicate work you did with them and how nice they should look on a youthful figure. Some of my favorite makeups have been the freebies offered by a variety of artists over the years.

New freebies. The character is also wearing some summershadows from yesterday - it is just a little hard to see...

Edit: made an update to the image, as I realised that the hole was too dark and there was a reflection, which shouldn't be there.

Two great gifts today. https://www.daz3d.com/golden-waves-plaid-fabric-iray-shaders and https://www.daz3d.com/pret-star-room went straight into my cart. I also loved the note elleque put in the description about the product's history. Makes it extra special.

The background has its own surface called a hole. I made it emissive and added the base texture into the emission channel and gave it a low emission value, so it would glow/light by it's own.

And in case anybody wonders. Star from todays freebi is rigged, so you can make him do things, although only a basic rig.

I considered making the cat attack poor star to get the fishs in his hat, but I concluded it might not be family friendly.

The room freebie made me realize that I probably need (and didn't have) a pedestal floor fan, but now I do. (Thank you!) Anyway, I put my copy through the V3D FilaToon Converter. I also added today's plaid shader to the rug.

There appears to be a lack of M3D Milo renders.  That must be rectified.
