Rapunzil Tower issue?

Hi, I finaly got around to trying out 3DStyle's Rapanzel Tower

https://www.daz3d.com/rapunzel-tower

And found it was like hitting a performance brick wall, I do anything and the whole scene seems to halt and refresh.

Just moving the mouse, try and select a camera or select an object, let alone try and render the scene.

I'm just trying to position a camera and every single action I take halts & refreshes every single time, forget about animation.

In the end I had to take it down to Wireframe view to try and make it managable but even was like pulling teeth.

I'm running a pair of Zeons (32cores, 32Gb) and a 3060 (12gb) so while I'm not cutting edge my system isnt exactly resouce poor.

The model looks okay but cannot see what is the issue as the textures dont look that detailed, and the terrain looks pretty low poly.

Perfmon shows no CPU, Memory, Disk, GPU usage that is that extreme and no errors in the log file.

Is anyone else run into this with this item?

Thanks

    I don't have it.

Are there instances? If so try to hide them when moving around, and when render try to set Instance Optimization (in Render Settings) to memory.

    Sadly its everything and anything.

The weird thing is these are all just props, I dont have a single character in the scene yet the DS interface is running as if its having a hernia.

Okay I have been adding individual pieces and at least its not the tower or the lighting that are the issue as I dont need the rest I'll work with what I need.

There're around 7.5 Mil faces in the whole scene while 3DStyle already optimized it by using lots of instances ~~ With my PC (Threadripper 3990x, RAM128GB, 4090), I also can feel a bit laggy in Viewport when manipulating the scene.

Well, switching to Wireframe drawstyle will make it even worse as all instance will be wireframed...

If you cannot really tolerate it esp. with Texture shaded, there may be two solutions:
    - Use latest DS 2025 alpha (DS 6.25). I just tested it. The performance is much better than DS 4.x
    - With Texture Shaded drawstyle in DS 4.x,  you can open Draw Settings pane, change Manipulation Drawstyle from Use Current to Switch to Wire Bounding Box. In this way, when you manipulate Views, the scene will be drawn as wires in Viewport so as to significantly "boost the performance''... not a perfect way but much better than getting low performance. There should be no other better way... Decimating the scene will take much more time I think ~~~
