8.1 Surfaces Detail Enable
I was wondering why some characters have detail enable, specular occlusion, makeup, ect available while others don't. For example, the base 8.1F figure doesn't have any of those options while Victoria 8.1 does.
Is there any way to have those options availabe for any 8.1 character?

If you look in the Surface tab for the character there are a lot of options.
The icons in the characters has some predefined settings making it easier to do. For makeup you will usually have dedicated textures.
Changen the surface settings might take some time to understand what does what.
Hmmm maybe I should clarify. 8.1 is supposed to have the ability to use detailed normal maps which are tileable, ambient occlusion maps which I baked from substance painter and more. However most of my 8.1 figures are missing the ability to turn those options on. This includes the daz3d base 8.1 figure. Some figures only have this option on certain surfaces(lips, eyelids were a few that had it).
Do you know how to fix this so I have that option on all 8.1 figures on any surface?
Those maps aren't intrinsic to G8.1, but are part of the PBRSkin shader that was introduced alongside 8.1. Only characters that come with PBRSkin material presets will include those maps, but you can also borrow those maps from characters that do have them for characters that don't. To apply PBRSkin to a character with Iray Uber shaders, simply select the figure, go to the Surfaces pane and select the surfaces you want to change* and apply the shader, which is located in Default Resources.
*I'd recommend Skin, maybe Skin/Lips/Nails, but I don't know if there's any benefit to having PBRSkin on the eyes, and since PBRSkin doesn't have opacity (unless you also own PBRSkin+), you definitely don't want it on the Cornea and EyeMoisture surfaces.
So once applying the pbrskin shader how to I make it look like the original(base color not being so blown out)?
Please put some clothes on the figure, or zoom in to show only head and shoulders.
Essentially enable Translucency, Transmission and SSS. You will probably also have to tweak the color values for these. And also Bump.
