Hello, I need to know if DAZ Studio allows .avi or .mov files for surfaces such as TV screens or monitors as 3D Max does.
Appreciate your input!

I asked this question a long time ago and I think the answer I got was that Carrara does it but Daz Studio doesn't.
Someone made a post about free video compositing and this would be a perfect use for it!
Also keep in mind that you are comparing the features (or lack thereof) of a $4000+ professional app to that of a free hobbyist app.
I don't do animations, but I would think this would be a cool feature
Draagonstorm had a script I think that worked with an image series as a texture a couple years ago. I never used it, but there were YouTube videos showing how it worked.
DreamLight had a plugin that worked with an older version of Studio with video files, but I don't think Val updated it.
Compositing could work.
EDIT: I found these links you can investigate...

You would need to convert the .mov to an image series. Then you can use http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/animated-textures-script-for-daz-studio
