CC Caius for Genesis 9 [Commercial] (RELEASED)

ChangelingChickChangelingChick Posts: 3,359

Been a while. Finally got another fella done for you guys.  CC Caius for Genesis 9 ( https://www.daz3d.com/cc-caius-for-genesis-9 )

This one comes with some tattoo options (LIE that will work with similar skin tones and might work with others), and some body and facial hair options.

And in an uncharacteristic move, I forgot to link everything that I used in the promos, so if there's something you see when it's released, lemme know here, and I'll tell you what it is. Sorry about that.

Wow, such a generous offer for 2.99, thank you! And the figure looks adorable. Right into my cart he went!

Just to be sure, I'll ask; is he HD or SD? I can't get the Documentation Center to open, to see the file list.

I can't see anything to suggest HD. Here's a link to the file list if you want to check it  File List [Documentation Center]

@MoreTN and @WendyLuvsCatz thank you both. I'll think about it. I hope everyone else who doesn't own a weaker-end PC, like me, can enjoy him.

He is HD, but I always keep the HD dials separate, so you can dial them out.

Edit: And he loads in at the standard Genesis 9 subD 1 level.

Okay, sold. Had to load him manually. (Hardware limitations.) But he works.

My render is like this because I had used his skin and hair for an OC who is shorter than him. Then, I replaced the OC with Caius. X'D

    Love it!!

Since you had to manually load him in for your hardware, I *highly* saving a persona preset to use later if you want to. They save super fast and load even faster.

Will be downloading on my machines over the next few days. He is in my haul for today. I so admire the amount of love, effort and care you put into your characters @ChanglingChick.

Wanted to step in and thank you for all of the add ons and options you include, and your incredibly thorough promo pics (especially the expressions!)

And it's beyond awesome that you include makeup options. Way to smash the binary and embody inclusion! (I have never worn the stuff except on stage, but I fully support everyone of any gender being able to choose to do so if they wish.)

Caius is a stunning character and jumped right into my cart.

yeah blame the Victorian era for that

men, particularly the aristocracy loved their makeup before then

    the Baroque period especially

all the pink bows, stockings and lace too

sadly I cannot wear makeup at all, used to until 30 then my allergies kicked in

    would be all gothy otherwise

Hey! LTNS! That looks great! I always forget to add jewelry! Do you remember off hand what you used? I'm almost certain I have that ring. Lyoness had to remind me to use some on my next gal that's coming up :D

I'm so glad y'all are enjoying him. His makeups and lip can be used on other characters too btw if they use PBRSkin. For the makeups, just use the Shadow Reset preset on the other character, and that should prime them for the shadows and liners. For the lips, that's a geoshell, so you can just throw that on anyone as is no matter their skin shader. You might want to swap out the normals to match, but other than that, you should be able to blend 'em onto anyone.

Ah, the jewery is from https://www.daz3d.com/black-forge-accessories-for-genesis-9 with the green stone color to match his eyes!

I knew it!! That's awesome. I just used that set in the promos I did for this fella's companion :D

I admit I was definitely eyeing that, especially the ability to control strength of coverage on the lipstick. I've often run into an issue with colors I know the characters would pick being a bit too striking against their skin tone; all you can see are LIPS!!! Not really looking for that to be the focus of my renders.

Possibly I already have that feature from one of your other characters? It's hard to keep track of all the options spread across everything in Daz. Would've grabbed him anyway though, so if I have it more than once... well, I have it more than once. :)

And thanks for the tip about the normals. I wouldn't have thought about that.

Oh hey, I passed that over initially, but now it's on my WL after a closer look. Thanks for showing it off!

Yes, if you have any of my Genesis 9 characters, they'll have this feature. There are 5 base styles that come with each, and most of the gals are going to have the same ones (though the masks might be slight different, there's not going to be a huge change). The boys tend to have different looks for the styles though. Caius, for example, has 2 smudgy styles that were intended to look like transfer from a kiss, then one smudged 3 line styles which... honestly I don't remember what I was trying to do with it, but I liked it and kept it XD CC Talan for Genesis 9 has the base full shape, then several styles that are meant to go with his elven paints some. He also has a couple colors the others don't. CC Rozalina for Genesis 9 has the usual styles, but her colors have a bit of a gradient at the corners for a bit of a different look. All the styles and colors should work with any of the sets from the other ones as well.

I feel like you have nailed so much of the creative process with that one line alone.

I have to remember to put makeup and accessories on a character on also. It all depends on the outfit and what I scene I put the character in. So both items I have to remember to add them. So many times I have started a render and have to stop it to add the missing bits. And I do buy jewerly and makeup packs and characters for their makeups, especially L.I.E.s. So useful. I would love more masculine jewerly suitable for business suit wear. We have so many offerings for the ladies but only a few choices appropriate for the guys.
