Environment options additions/alterations

I am not sure if this should be in this forum or Daz Studio. Sorry, if it's the wrong forum.

With "Environment options" a map can be added as a back ground image. Great, the only issue is, the user only has Rotate on one axis. If "sun and sky" is added it ignores the image map. Quite rightly as the image map can only be rotated on one axis or you get very undesirable results with your ground vertically rather than horizontally.

So, how about a second skin or shell for the Environment to hold the sun (light source). That way the user could rotate the environment map (back ground image) on one axis, and the sun/sky shell through time of day and direction on the other, that is the sun/sky can be rotate through all three rotations.

@druc, I am not sure I am understanding your question. I loaded up Flipmode's Easy Environments ExoPlanet I and in the Dome Orientation X, Y, and Z, along with Rotation I can move the HDRI image. Is that what you want? I did test the Ground Origin X, Y, and Z and they did nothing. All other settings were default on load on 4.24.0.3.

I assume he is referrinf to the environment tab (=/= Environment tab in Render settings) where you can load an image and only rotate in steps of 90 degrees, or flip it.

Although I only use it for fill if there is something I want covered, so not really an issue for me.

I was on the Render Tab. But uploaded the product from Smart Content. Didn't think he meant the Environment Tab (I habitually forget it is there.) But yeah, if that is the case, hmm.

Okay, I loaded an HDRI from  HDRI Haven and I see the problem. Well I would attach the snip, except I can't attach it. The forum doesn't see the file!
