That was awesome! Made me smile
My aircraft enthusiast me spotted a Wildcat taking off from a flightdeck loaded with Zero's .......
A brave marine then
Nice work Steve K very lyrical
Thanks for the comments. Just an aside, I was happy to find my Carrara "clip" (mocap file) of a spell casting sequence. That is the basis for all four (three in this trailer) of the carrier "shooter" scenes (the catapult officer). I recall seeing a clip of a real carrier catapult man doing a pretty spectacular dance while "shooting". This isn't that clip, but pretty funny:
Good eye. Not Zero's but you're close.
Great!
Lol. So funny. If there is a significant other, they must be thinking often please go outside and play.
Hmmm .... Had a closer look, didn't see the torpedoes first time around. Nakajima B5N Kates ?
awesome stuff....
Bingo! (At least the "Kate" part) It was the only folded wing prop plane I could find in my collection, part of a Japanese Carrier model I think. Maybe US Navy spy planes?
Also, not sure if this is real, but "Zero" torpedo plane?:

Thanks, Stezza.
Maybe the Kates were captured at Guadalcanal ?
References indicate that in addition to it's cannon armament, Zeros were fitted with bombs, later variants were also fitted for air to air rockets . Although there were single seaters fitted with a torpedo during WW2 - Fiat G.55/S & Blackburn Firebrand being a couple of examples.
I think the Zero torpedo plane is a converted Vultee BT-13 Valiant - https://www.impdb.org/index.php?title=Midway_(1976)
I told my wife about your comment, she asked "Lyrical?" A search: "expressing the writer's emotions in an imaginative and beautiful way." I wonder if that's what you meant, but whatever, thanks.
Very cool, looking forward to the full film.
Thanks. The screenings of all the 30 or so Houston entries was today, so I can upload the full video to YouTube, which I have done and will start a new Carrara Forum topic.
