Question on Premier Exclusive items
in The Commons
So say if I join premier membership now and downloaded premier exclusive items to my smart content and file folders, next month when I unsubscribe, would I lose access to those premier exlcusive items?

Comments
Yes.
I must admit that, not being a Premier member, I'm not entirely sure how these assets can be effectively locked down like that without restricting user options.
As far as I can make sense of it, then for it to be able to prevent me making copies of the morphs or textures, it would by extension stop me being able to edit the morphs or textures if I wanted/needed.
(Although maybe it's just the case that Daz are mainly expecting things to be handled on an honesty basis).
You can imagine a way of encrypting the data files that requires a key (say 256 bit) and that the key is built into DS, but only available for decryption if you have Premier Membership. That could explain the advert download on the 'New/Open' window - at the same time DS is checking with home base whether it's allowed to decrypt Premier only files.

Richard.
If the asset is encrypted it can't be used out of time, as controlled by DRM. No use, no copy, no working even if copied to another location. It doesn't only stop editing the asset, but stops its use entirely, and that's what I take from @nemesis10's answer. I don't have, and won't have, Premier, so this is as close as I'll get to it, and indicates how reliable my answers probably are.

Richard
Premier content (like Aiko 9) can only be installed by DAZ Connect, and at least for these assets, they are encrypted.
Therefore the technical means to prevent access after subscription expires does exist.
Hmm. Assets I cannot modify if I want to are inherently just of less value to me, which kind of takes the shine off something that's being presented as a perk.
You could add correctiive morphs on top of the shapes and so on. Since they are all HD sahpes you couldn't do more anyway. The maps, f any, aren't encrypted so you would have the usual options with them.
