    Torus, spheres, cone etc. Combine these artistically to make a turd.

    Texturing... there's any variety of shaders that you can use if you use Iray. I suggest the "Noise Perlin Glossy" pattern from the NVidia Iray shader set, but change the colors in the pattern of course. Noise Perlin is great IMO.
