  • Ugh...the reason why search didn't work is because it's at the....other...place. Thank you FSMC. Since moving on with Studio,  G2-G3....I don't frequent the other place as much since they still mostly cater to V4...

No problem. I moved on to DS only over 3 yrs ago and still spend as much there as I do here. Always good to have options.

  • Well I was determined to learn Studio and the only way I could give it the time was to put Poser to the side completely and I was only going to use Studio with the Genesis figures and leave V4 for Poser. This way I was working with a new figure with a new program, everything was completely new for me to figure it all out on how it works. I can tell you, the moment Auto-Fit worked I felt like throwing a party, I mean no more tweaking this to get that to fit, no more weird looking outfits due to having to accomodate the fact the merchant didn't add morphs to their stuff, less postwork to fill in the poke throughs!....and the fact that girls can wear boys stuff or boys wear girls stuff and it fits without the loss of a single strand of hair over it! I kind of miss my lighting stuff I had favored in Poser I'm sure I will find something that will work just as well but I'm happy with Studio and I don't think I'll go back to Poser...I had to open it up one day and I forgot where things were.

  • I had a question on another thread that still hasnt been answered but is related to this one.  Do yall know how they got the wet look to the G3F's skin?

Probably top coat setting, high reflectivity, lower roughness (0.1 to 0.2).

This seems to be changing. Renderosity (and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Runtimedna) shows clear signs of moving away from V4 and towards G2 and G3.

    Cheers,

    Alex.
