Using a non-DAZ illustration as a back-ground.

Hello. I know there is a way in which a non-DAZ illustration can be used as a back-ground or back-drop but I cannot remember how to do it. I know the process starts with the environment tab then choose browse and selecting the preferred picture from outside of DAZ3D, ini my case that will be from images stored elsewhere on my PC. Would someone kindly remind me how to complete this process.

Thank you very much.

    1. Open the Environment Pane (from Daz Studio's menu: Window > Panes (Tabs) > Environment).
    2. Select "Backdrop" from the Type dropdown list.
    3. Click the triangle icon on the Background property and choose "Browse..." from the menu.
    4. Select the image file you want to use as the background.

The other method that I tend to use is to

    create a primitive
    scale it up
in the Surface tab, apply the illustration to base color and emission and remove all reflectiveness
in the Environment tab, hide the ground

This gives you a background image that adds a pleasing backlight like the sky:
